Declaring Land in the North Auckland Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and five of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and shall hereafter form part of the Motutara Settlement.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 206 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Allotments 28 and 102, Parish of Waitakerei. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 21/283, deposited under No. 2522 in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. (North Auckland plan 13444, blue.)

Setting apart Crown Lands under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1934.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 11, Block XIV, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 35 acres 1 rood 8 perches.

SECTION 12, Block XIV, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 10 acres 2 roods 24 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of February, 1932.

Opening Land in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare and provide as follows, that is to say:—

  1. The rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for disposal by way of sale or selection on Thursday, the 24th day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at the price specified in the said Schedule, and for the purposes of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1924, the said land shall be deemed to be “scrub” land.

  2. The said land may be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

  3. After the first half-year’s rent (or the deposit on deferred payments, as the case may be) has been paid by the selector, the further instalments or rent (or such parts of the instalments on deferred payments as consist of interest), payable by him for the period specified in the Schedule hereto, shall not be demanded: Provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent or interest so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent or interest payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount previously conceded to the selector, as the Board shall think fit.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Rangitikei County.—Ruahine Survey District.

(Exempt from rent for two years.)

SECTION 1, Block VI: Area, 798 acres. Capital value, £500. Deposit on deferred payments, £25; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £15 8s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10.

Weighted with £492 for improvements.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section seven of the Health Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Sir Henry Lindo Ferguson, Kt. Bach., C.M.G., M.D., F.R.C.S.I.,

to be a member of the Board of Health under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 13th day of February, 1932.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Medical Practitioners Amendment Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Sir Henry Lindo Ferguson, Kt. Bach., C.M.G., M.D., F.R.C.S.I.,

to be a member of the Medical Council under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 13th day of February, 1932.
