Revoking the Setting-apart of Crown Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of August, then instant, setting apart lands for selection by discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.โ€”HOKIANGA COUNTY.
SECTION 3, Block X, Punakitere Survey District: Area, 282 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of February, 1932.

Amending the Wheat Research Regulations, 1928.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of February, 1932.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scientific and Industrial Research Act, 1926, as extended by section twenty-seven of the Finance Act, 1927 (No. 2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf (including the powers conferred by virtue of paragraph (h) of section twenty-five of the Acts Interpretation Act, 1924), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purpose of securing compliance with the Wheat Research Regulations, 1928 (being regulations made under the authority of the enactments hereinbefore referred to by Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of the same month).

REGULATION.

EVERY person who fails, or has heretofore failed, to comply with any obligation imposed on him by the Wheat Research Regulations, 1928, commits an offence, and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five pounds. Every such offence shall be deemed to continue from day to day so long as such failure continues.

Boundaries of Borough of Timaru and County of Levels altered.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of February, 1931.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

W HEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the County of Levels and included in the Borough of Timaru:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said borough:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Levels and included in the Borough of Timaru.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF LEVELS AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.

ALL that area of land situate in the Levels County, commencing at the southernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 2830, being the point on Selwyn Street which is on the boundary between the County of Levels and the Borough of Timaru; thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the east side of Selwyn Street to the westernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 3426; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned Lot 5 to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly to the westernmost corner of Lot 4 on the said D.P. 3426; thence along the north-west boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1 on said D.P. 3426, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-westerly along the west boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 2552, for a distance of 2 chains; thence in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to the westernmost corner of Lot 71 on D.P. 3430; thence along the southern boundary of Andrew Street to the northernmost corner of Lot 84 on the said D.P. 3430; thence in a straight line across Bouverie Street to the southernmost corner of Lot 35 on the said D.P. 3430; thence north-westerly along the eastern side of Bouverie Street to the westernmost corner of Lot 33 on the said D.P. 3430; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 33 to the northernmost corner; thence south-westerly along the east boundaries of the said Lot 33 and Lot 34, D.P. 3430, to the northern boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 2458; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Lot 17 to the southernmost corner of Lot 26, D.P. 3430; thence north-westerly along the line dividing Lots 25 and 26, D.P. 3430, to the southern boundary of Macdonald Street; thence easterly along the southern side of Macdonald Street to the Main North Road; thence by a straight line in production of the south side of Macdonald Street across the Main North Road; thence south-easterly along the east side of the Main North Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 77, D.P. 751; thence north-easterly along the south-east boundary of the said Lot 77 to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-east boundaries of Lots 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, and 71 on D.P. 751 to the west boundary of the Main South Railway; thence south-westerly along the west boundary of the said railway to the south side of Eversley Road; thence following the existing boundary of the Borough of Timaru to the point of commencement.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Block XIX, Tuapeka East Survey District, Otago Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of February, 1932.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for quarry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 18, Block XIX, Tuapeka East Survey District
Area, 1 acre 6 perches.
