Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lands in the First Schedule hereto will be offered for sale by public auction for cash, and the lands in the Second Schedule for cash on or deferred payments, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 6th January, 1932, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SUBURBAN LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Kakahi.
(For Sale for Cash.)

SECTION 52, Block V: Area, 2 roods. Upset price, £7 10s. Weighted with the sum of £2 10s. for improvements consisting of fencing and grassing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated in the Town of Kakahi, with frontage to Tio Street, one mile from Kakahi Railway-station by pumiced road. Easy sloping section, cleared and in grass.

Kaitieke County.—Owhango Township.

Section 18, Block VI: Area, 2 roods 4 perches. Upset price, £15. Weighted with the sum of £2 for improvements consisting of half-share of 8 chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated in the Township of Owhango, with frontage to Onemataua Road, one mile from Owhango Railway-station by metalled road. All cleared land, about one-half level; balance easy slope. Soil of a light-quality loam.

VILLAGE LAND.

Waimarino County.—Town of Raetihi Extension.

Section 56: Area, 4 acres. Upset price, £20. Weighted with the sum of £8 for improvements consisting of 16 chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated within the Borough of Raetihi, with frontage to Islington Street, one mile from railway-station by good metalled road. Hilly section, broken by creek, all felled and grassed. Soil of fair quality.

Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.—Kakahi Township.

Section 24, Block I: Area, 3 roods 30 perches. Upset price, £15. Weighted with the sum of £3 10s. for improvements consisting of half-share of boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated in the Township of Kakahi, with frontage to Takapuna Road, half a mile from Kakahi Railway-station. A level section, all having been cleared. Permanently watered by stream.

Manawatu County.—Sandy Survey District.—Town of Tangimoana Extension No. 1.
(For Sale for Cash or on Deferred Payments.)

SECTION 15: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £45. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 6s. Weighted with the sum of £1 5s. for improvements consisting of fencing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated in Nuku Street. Level section, all in native grass. Suitable for a summer cottage-site.

Section 17: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £45. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 6s. Weighted with the sum of 12s. 6d. for improvements consisting of fencing. This sum is payable in cash. Situated in Nuku Street. Level section, all in native grass. Suitable for a summer cottage-site.

Section 73: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £45. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 6s.

Weighted with the sum of £1 5s. for fencing. This sum is payable in cash.
This section has a frontage to Ann Street, which is formed but not metalled. Level section in native grass, suitable for a summer cottage-site.

Lands in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 30th November, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th January, 1932.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 13th January, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

The land in the Second Schedule is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose right shall be to the surface only.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Clutha County.—Tautuku Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for six years.)

SECTION 17, Block XII, and Section 1, Block XIII: Area, 172 acres 2 roods 34 perches. Capital value, £125. Half-yearly rent, £2 10s.

After payment of the first half-year’s rent, lease fee, and broken-period rent (if any) no further rent will be charged for a period of six years.

The sections are situated about sixteen miles from Maclellan Township, post and telegraph office, and railway-station, by formed and metalled road; school at Chaslands, about five miles distant. Approximately 16 acres partially open; balance standing bush and second growth. The soil is of a light loam resting on a cold clay bottom.

Sections 15 and 16, Block XII: Area, 264 acres 1 rood 8 perches. Capital value, £100. Half-yearly rent, £2.

After payment of the first half-year’s rent, lease fee, and broken-period rent (if any) no further rent will be charged for a period of six years.

Weighted with £9 5s., for improvements consisting of south road boundary fencing.

The sections are situated about fifteen miles from Maclellan Township, post-office, and railway-station, by formed and metalled road; about four miles from Chaslands School. The sections are steep and back-lying, and are practically all bush. On Section 15 about 7 acres fairly clear, and about 30 acres has reverted to second growth. The soil is of light loam resting on cold clay and stone. The sections are well watered by creeks.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Lake County.—Mid-Wakatipu Survey District.—Otago Mining District.

SECTION 6, Block I: Area, 69 acres 1 rood 30 perches. Capital value, £35. Half-yearly rent, 14s.

The section is situated about two miles from Queenstown, by road along the north side of Lake Wakatipu. The section comprises steep, rocky, and broken hill country, with patches of fern and scrub. The soil is of a light schisty loam resting on rock formation. The section is well watered by springs. The elevation ranges from 2,000 ft. to 2,500 ft.
