Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

Wellington, 24th November, 1931.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces:—
STAFF.
Major W. G. Stevens, R.N.Z.A., p.s.c., to be General Staff Officer (Intelligence and Staff Duties) at General Headquarters (vice Captain R. C. C. Steele), in addition to his present appointment of Officer Commanding G.H.Q. Training Depot, Trentham Camp, and relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding Royal N.Z. Artillery, Central Command. Dated 23rd November, 1931.
Captain G. B. Parkinson, R.N.Z.A., to be Officer Commanding Royal N.Z. Artillery, Central Command, Wellington (vice Major W. G. Stevens), and retains the appointment of Staff Captain, Artillery, at General Headquarters. Dated 24th November, 1931.
Captain R. C. C. Steele, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer (Intelligence and Staff Duties) at General Headquarters on proceeding to the Staff College, Camberley, and is seconded. Dated 21st November, 1931.
COMMANDS.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. Armstrong, v.d., the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, relinquishes command of the Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 30th September, 1931.
Major H. B. Maunsell, the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant-Colonel, and is appointed to command the Regiment, vice Lieutenant-Colonel J. Armstrong, v.d., transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 1st October, 1931.
THE AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant J. Veitch to be Captain. Dated 10th September, 1931.
THE MANAWATU MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant L. J. B. McKelvie ceases to be attached to the 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, and is transferred to the Regimental Supernumerary List. Dated 9th November, 1931.
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant C. L. Walter, 9th Field Battery, to be Captain. Dated 10th November, 1931.
The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants to be Lieutenants:—
F. A. Aldridge, 9th Field Battery. Dated 14th July, 1931.
R. R. Beattie, 10th Field Battery. Dated 12th September, 1931.
H. J. Bradley, 10th Field Battery. Dated 12th September, 1931.

Lieutenant H. R. Heward ceases to be posted to the 3rd C Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd C Battalion. Dated 9th November, 1931.

The undermentioned cease to be posted to the 2nd C Battalion, and are posted to the 1st C Battalion. Dated 9th November, 1931:—

Lieutenant J. Leggat, 1st C Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 10th September, 1931.
THE OTAGO REGIMENT.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) E. Hayes, 1st C Battalion, is confirmed.
N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
Lieutenant A. C. Dickson, 2nd Composite Company, to be Captain. Dated 10th September, 1931.
Lieutenant J. M. Hoffman, 2nd Composite Company, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 10th November, 1931.
2nd Lieutenant A. Gollan, 2nd Composite Company, to be Lieutenant. Dated 2nd December, 1931.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Major I. S. Wilson, M.C., M.D., F.R.C.S. Eng., is attached to the 7th Field Battery, N.Z.A. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Major M. B. M. Tweed, M.R.C.S. Eng., ceases to be attached to the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, and is attached to the 19th Medium Battery, N.Z.A. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Major P. C. Davie, M.B., F.R.C.S. Edin., ceases to be attached to the Taranaki Regiment. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Captain H. Paterson, M.B., ceases to be attached to the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Captain H. G. Rice, M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond., ceases to be attached to the Hawke’s Bay Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Captain A. M. Young, M.B., ceases to be attached to Queen Alexandra’s (Wellington West Coast) Mounted Rifles, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Captain W. R. Lawrence, M.B., ceases to be attached to the Hauraki Regiment. Dated 19th September, 1931.
Captain A. W. Hogg, O.B.E., M.B., from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain, with seniority from the 24th August, 1925, and is attached to the 15th Coast Battery, N.Z.A. Dated 16th October, 1931.
Captain B. Welton-Hogg, M.C., M.B., ceases to be posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance, and is attached to the 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers. Dated 16th October, 1931.
