I RUNGA i te whakahaerenga o tekiona 186 o te Ture Pooti Mema mo te Paremete, 1927, tenei ahau ka whakamana ka whakahau hoki i a koe kia whakahaerea e koe i runga i nga huarahi o te Ture he tikanga e pootitia ai he mema mo te Paremete hei mahi i nga mahi i roto i te Whare o nga Mangai o te Iwi mo te Takiwa Pooti Maori Whaka-te-Rato.
A tenei hoki ahau ka whakahau mau e whakarite kia tae nga whakaingoatanga mo taua mema ki te Tari Maori, Whare Kawanatanga, Poneke, a te 12 o nga haora i te awatea o te 23 o nga ra o Noema, 1931; a ki te meatia i reira kia pootitia te mema, heoi me tu te pooti a te 1 o nga ra o Tihe ma, 1931.
E whakahaua atu ana hoki kia tuhia e koe ki tua o tenei riti te ingoa o te tangata i whakaturia peratia, ka mutu ka whakahoki mai i te riti ki a au a te 23 o nga ra o Tihe ma, 1931, i mua mai ranei.
I tuhia ki Poneke i tenei te 13 o nga ra o Noema, 1931.

Writ for Maori Election.
To the Returning Officer for the Southern Maori Electoral District.
IN pursuance of section 186 of the Electoral Act, 1927, I hereby authorize and require you to proceed, according to law, to the election of a member of Parliament to serve in the House of Representatives for the Southern Maori Electoral District.
I further direct that you cause the nominations for the said member to be received at the Supreme Court, Christchurch, not later than noon on the 23rd day of November, 1931, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the 1st day of December, 1931.
You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 23rd day of December, 1931.
Dated at Wellington, this 13th day of November, 1931.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places for the Maori electoral districts therein specified.
