Small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, and D from Auckland or Newmarket to stations Rukuhia–Te Awamutu (inclusive) will be charged pro rata of the local or classified rates, as the case may be, instead of under Regulation 71, General Scale of Charges; minimum charge, 1s. 6d.

LOCAL UNIFORM RATES.

Goods of Classes E, F, N, P, Q, R, and artificial manures (Regulation 86, General Scale of Charges) from any station or stations Rukuhia – Te Awamutu (inclusive) will be charged at the classified Class D rate, Regulation 69, General Scale of Charges, such rate being referred to in the following proviso as the “local uniform rate”: Provided, however, that to those persons or bodies of persons (whether incorporated or not) who shall undertake to place with or cause to be placed with the Board the whole of their goods requiring conveyance between places in New Zealand, where in the opinion of the Board it is reasonably practicable for such persons or bodies of persons to have their goods conveyed by railway, the benefit of the classified rates under which such goods would be charged had the local uniform rate not been in operation shall be extended and be payable in all cases where such classified rates shall be cheaper than the classified Class D rate, Regulation 69, General Scale of Charges.

Auckland .. Hangatiki .. Fuel-oil .. .. 22s. per ton. Minimum quantity, 6 tons per consignment.
Auckland or New Lynn New Plymouth .. Earthenware drainpipes .. 38s. per ton. Minimum quantity as per Reg. 77, General Scale of Charges.
Auckland .. Wanganui, Palmerston North, and Wellington Fruit (produce of New Zealand, Cook Islands, or Niue), or imported, by express or passenger-train; also imported fruit by goods or mixed train. Fruit will be carried by express or passenger train only at the convenience of the Department 54s. 7d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 10 tons per consignment. Any less quantity will be charged at this minimum or at Class D rate, with a minimum of 6 tons per consignment. All loading or unloading to be performed by owners.
Auckland .. Palmerston North Sugar, golden syrup or treacle 67s. 5d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 10 tons per consignment.
Auckland .. Napier .. Goods of Class A, ex overseas vessels at Auckland 110s. 10d. per ton dead weight. This rate is exclusive of the Auckland Harbour Board’s transhipment charges and such other charges as may be incurred in respect of the delivery of such goods into railway-wagons at Auckland.
Penrose .. Any station on North or South Island Main Lines and Branches Bottles and jars, glass .. Class D. The charges at this rate will be reduced by 12½ per cent. In cases where the charges are computed on a combination of a local and the classified rate the 12½ per cent. reduction will not be made.
Penrose .. Any station on the North Island Main Line and Branches Small lots of glass bottles and jars for the same destination station Pro rata of the appropriate tonnage rate, provided that not less than 3 tons are loaded in the same wagon.
Onehunga Town .. Auckland or Newmarket Classes A, B, C, D, and H 5s. 7d. per ton. The charges on ships’ goods will be computed in accordance with Reg. 129, General Scale of Charges.
Onehunga Wharf.. Auckland or Newmarket Classes A, B, C, D, and H .. 5s. 11d. per ton, which includes all charges for loading or unloading in the yards or sheds, or receipt from ships in trucks alongside the wharf at Onehunga. The charges on ships’ goods will be computed in accordance with Reg. 129, General Scale of Charges.
Onehunga, Te Papa-pa, Southdown, or Westfield Te Aroha .. Classes A, B, C, and D .. 35s. per ton, except where the charges computed in accordance with subpara. (f), para. 1, Reg. 70, General Scale of Charges, are cheaper.
Onehunga, Te Papa-pa, Southdown, or Westfield Karangahake–Waihi and intermediate stations Classes A, B, C, and D .. 35s. per ton, except where the charges computed in accordance with subpara. (f), para. 1, Reg. 70, General Scale of Charges, are cheaper.
