Appointment of Officer under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-
General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Richard Francis Bale, of Gisborne,
to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-
mentioned Act, in respect of the East Coast Acclimatization
District.

Producers Representatives on the New Zealand Fruit-export
Control Board appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 2995.)

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint, in terms of paragraph (b) of subsection (2)
of section 5 of the Fruit Control Act, 1924,
Thomas Cuddie Brash, Esquire, and
Alexander Morris Robertson, Esquire,
to be representatives of producers on the New Zealand Fruit-
export Control Board established under the said Act, each
such person to hold office for a period of three years com-
mencing on the 1st day of September, 1931.

to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Orchard and Garden
Diseases Act, 1928, as from the 1st day of September, 1931.
Constable Robert Audley
to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Collingwood
for the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1928, and
Clerk and Bailiff of the Warden's Court, Receiver of Gold
Revenue, and Mining Registrar at Collingwood for the Kara-
mea Mining District constituted under the Mining Act, 1926,
as from the 5th day of September, 1931.
Arthur Albert Luckham
to be Resident Agent, Commissioner of the High Court,
Deputy Registrar of the High Court, Postmaster and Deputy
Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages at Aitutaki as
from the 17th day of August, 1931.
Edward Carlyon Vellenoweth
to be Resident Agent, Postmaster and Deputy Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages at Mauke, as from the 21st
day of August, 1931.

N.Z. Military Forces.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the appointments, promotions, and
transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military
Forces :—

THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant N. Taylor to be Lieutenant. Dated 24th
April, 1931.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant H. McC. Taylor has been granted leave of absence
from the Dominion, and is seconded until 1st June, 1932.
2nd Lieutenant J. A. Mars ceases to be posted to the 21st
Field Battery, and is posted to the 18th Medium Battery.
Dated 21st August, 1931.
Leslie Percival Harker to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted
to the 9th Field Battery. Dated 12th September, 1930.
