CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Small Grazing-run in Hawke's Bay Land District for Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 18th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned small grazing-run is open for lease for a term of twenty-one years; and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 6th October, 1931, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 8th October, 1931, at 10.30 o'clock a.m.; but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Hawke's Bay County.-Maungaharuru Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.)
RUN 103 : Area, 3,069 acres. Capital value, £1,540. Half-yearly rent, £30 16s.
Weighted with £460, for improvements consisting of four-roomed dwelling, shed, sheep and cattle yards, scrub-felling, grassing, and approximately 348 chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by a deposit of £60; the balance payable by forty half-yearly instalments of £15 12s.
Situated twenty miles from Eskdale Railway-station and one mile and a half from Ohurakura School. Watered by streams and springs. Altitude, 700 ft. to 1,800 ft. above sea-level. Hilly and undulating pastoral country, with big flats along the Esk River, intersected by deep gorgy streams, Generally light soil, suitable for sheep-farming when developed.

Education Reserve in Taranaki Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 18th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, 23rd September, 1931, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
Waitomo County.-Totoro Survey District.
SECTION 13, Block XI : Area, 302 acres. Annual rent : £5. Weighted with £150, for improvements comprising about 50 acres worn-out pasture, about 252 acres bush land felled and grassed (now reverted to second growth), about 150 chains fencing, house (poor order), and cow-shed. This sum is payable in cash, or may be secured by way of first mortgage to the State Advances Department for a term of thirty years, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent. per annum.
Situated on the Mokauiti Road, about thirty miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station, about half a mile from Onaio School, and about six miles from Aria Dairy Factory. Watered by running streams and springs.
This property is broken by rhyolite and sandstone bluffs. Present carrying-capacity is estimated at 50 ewes and 10 steers and heifers.
