Portions of Beatrice Road, in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of August, 1931.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz.: "The Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of Beatrice Road, Remuera, adjoining Lots 1 and 2, L.T. 23254, being part Allotment 33, Section 14, Suburbs of Auckland " ; such portions of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Beatrice Road, fronting Lots 1 and 2, L.T. plan 23254, being part Allotment 33 of Section 14, Suburbs of Auckland.
Also the south-western side of all that portion of the said street, in the said land district and city, fronting Lot 1, L.T. plan 23254, being part Allotment 33 of Section 14, Suburbs of Auckland.
As the said portions of street are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82144, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Portions of Road in the County of Taieri exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of August, 1931.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Taieri County Council on the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz.: "The Taieri County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Taieri, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the district road on the eastern boundary of Sections 15 and 14, Green Island West District, the eastern boundary of Section 21, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri District, and the western and north-western boundaries of Section 59, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri District "; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions of road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of road, situated in the Otago Land District, County of Taieri, fronting Sections 14 and 15, Green Island West District, and part of Section 21, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri District; marked "A-B " on plan.
The eastern side of all that portion of road in the said land district and county fronting Section 59, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri District; marked "C-D " on plan.
The south-eastern side of all that portion of road in the said land district and county fronting part of Section 59, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri District; marked "D-E " on plan.
As the said portions of road are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82344, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Postal-note Regulations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of August, 1931.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine (page 2152), and of the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty (page 2265), respectively, regulations were made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, dealing, inter alia, with the form, issue, and payment of postal-notes, and other matters incidental to the effective carrying-on of postal-note business:
And whereas it is desired to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby revoke so much of the regulations in the Schedules to the above-recited Orders in Council as is inconsistent herewith; and doth further order that the said revocation shall take effect and the regulations hereby made shall come into force on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and that the regulations hereby made shall form part of and be read together with the regulations made by the above-recited Order in Council of the sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

4. Every postal-note shall be numbered, and shall be for one of the following amounts, and in respect of each postal-note the following poundage shall be paid:

25. On application, accompanied by a search fee of 2s., to the Controller of Savings-banks and Accounts, General Post Office, Wellington, the remitter or payee of a postal-note may, within two years after the date of issue, be informed whether the note has been paid, and, if so, to whom, and the date of payment.
