CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Settlement Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 11th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and amendments; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 24th August, 1931.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 10.30 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, 26th August, 1931, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
SETTLEMENT LAND.
Ohura County.—Ohura Survey District.—Huia Settlement.
SECTION 58: Area, 334 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £925. Half-yearly rent, £23 2s. 6d.
Grazing and dairying property, situated on the Ohura Road (metalled) half a mile from Toi Toi Railway-station, two miles from Ohura School, and ten miles from Matiere Dairy Factory. Thirty acres ploughable; balance easy hills. About 60 acres in good pasture, 250 acres in worn-out pasture (of which about half has completely reverted to bracken fern), and 25 acres in bush.
Improvements comprise six-roomed dwelling (in fair condition), cow-byrne, manure-shed, stables, bridge, approximately 340 chains of fencing, and felling, grassing, and stumping; total value, £1,195, of which £425 is included in the capital value, leaving £770 on instalment mortgage for twenty-four years and a half at 5½ per cent. interest, payable by half-yearly instalments of £28 17s. 6d.

District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, 12th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 6th October, 1931.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, 8th October, 1931, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
Marlborough County.—Mount Olympus Survey District.—Hillersden Settlement.
SECTION 25, Blocks VII and XII: Area, 1,459 acres. Capital value, £3,400. Half-yearly rent, £85.
Weighted with £1,625, for improvements comprising rough-cast house of five rooms with conveniences, stable, whare, wool-shed, yards, fencing, windmill, and water-supply, &c. This sum is payable in cash, but, if necessary, the selector may arrange with the interested parties for part of the amount to be left on mortgage. Intending applicants who would require such accommodation are requested to consult the Commissioner of Crown Lands in regard to the terms and conditions at the earliest possible date.
Situated about thirty miles from Blenheim by good metalled roads; about one mile from school and three miles from post-office; there is also a rural delivery from post-office. About 350 acres flat and terrace land; balance good hill country running to an altitude of 1,850 ft. Between 300 to
400 acres shady, and subject to fern and tutu. Mostly native grasses with some scrub on front flats. Flats are subdivided into twelve paddocks and hill country into two blocks. Watered by creeks and windmill. Carrying-capacity about 1,000 sheep, mixed sexes, with assistance of grown feed. About 40 acres suitable for cropping.
In addition to fencing included in improvement loading, there is boundary and subdivisional fencing to the value of £111 10s., included in the capital value of the section.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, the 26th August, 1931, at 2 o'clock p.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Wanganui County.—Mangawhero Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for two years.)
SECTION 40, Block VIII, Mangawhero Survey District: Area, 804 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £900. Half-yearly rental, £18.
Weighted with the sum of £500 for improvements, which sum may be secured on mortgage to the State Advances Department.
The property is situated seven miles from Mangamahu Post-office and school, and twenty-six miles from Fordell Railway-station.

Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Tender.
District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, 10th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 12 o'clock noon, on Monday, the 14th September, 1931, for the grazing of the undermentioned land under the provisions of section 14 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Kaitieke County.—Town of Owhango.
SECTIONS 1 and 20: Area, 2 roods. Term of lease: Five years, from 1st January, 1932. Minimum annual rental, 15s.
Situated in Owhango Township, having a frontage to Omaki Road, within easy distance of Owhango Railway-station. The sections comprise flat grassed land, and the soil is of good light quality on papa formation.
Tenders must be accompanied by marked cheque or post-office order for six months' rent at the rate offered, and lease fee of £1 ls., and must be marked on the envelope “Tender for Lease.”
