OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.

Paparoa-Waikiekie Road.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Counties Act, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otamatea County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works—namely, the taking of the land described in the Schedule hereto for a road.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Paparoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

DALLEYS LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of DALLEYS LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held on Wednesday, the 22nd July, 1931, the following resolution was passed:

"That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue in business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that it be wound up accordingly under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that LEONARD KNIGHT, Public Accountant, of 408 New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, be and the same is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."

Creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 25th day of September, 1931, to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidator; and, if so required by notice in writing, are to come in and prove their debts or claims, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts or claims are proved.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the body corporate called The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, street-widening at the Kohimarama Beach Road in connection with the Waterfront roadway, within the City of Auckland—and for the purposes of and in connection with such public work the said body corporate intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, the several pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto: And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Queen Street, Auckland, and may be inspected there (without fee) during office hours: And further notice is hereby given that unless within forty days from the 16th day of July, 1931, being the date of the first publication of this notice, any written objection to the taking of such lands is sent to the Town Clerk aforesaid, the Auckland City Council shall forthwith proceed to take the said lands for such public work.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Lawrence.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned Richard Samuel Thompson of Wetherstones, Runholder, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 7 a.m., 24/7/31.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in the east branch of Wetherstones Creek, just below its confluence with Long Gully Creek, in the Tuapeka East District, running through Sections 33 and 53, Block X, Tuapeka East District, to the boundary of Section 1, Block X, Tuapeka East District, and terminating there. Together with a strip of land 10 ft. wide on each side. Pegs marked X.

Estimated time and cost of construction: One month; £250. Mean depth and breadth: Pipes 18in. or 24in. Number of heads to be diverted: Eight. Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining. Proposed term of license: Ten years.
