WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of the 9th April, 1931, that the Native Minister had decided to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Wairau Block XII, Section 5A, and other subdivisions of Native land or land owned by Natives in the South Island Native Land Court District: And whereas the Native Minister has now decided that the block mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to the provisions of subsection (3) of the said section 23: It is hereby notified that such land is excluded from the said Wairau Development Scheme accordingly.

SECTION 6A, Block XII, Cloudy Bay Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 24 perches.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and Amendments.
WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that William John Pye, of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Civil Servant, is the owner of the following property, namely :—
Contributions to Public Service Superannuation Fund, £170 15s. 8d.
Wearing apparel and trinkets (practically valueless).
And whereas it is not known where the said William John Pye is, or whether he is alive or dead: And whereas it is provided by Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), that a Judge of the Supreme Court may, on the application of the Public Trustee, make an order authorizing the Public Trustee to exercise all or any of the powers mentioned in section 87 of that Act: And whereas an order was so made on the 5th day of June, 1931, by a Judge of the Supreme Court, at Wellington, authorizing the Public Trustee to take possession of all the real and personal property of the said William John Pye, to receive, sue for, and recover any moneys owing to the said William John Pye, and to apply moneys received by the Public Trustee in the exercise of any of the foregoing powers in the maintenance of the children of the said William John Pye: Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of the personal property above-mentioned and all other property of the said William John Pye, and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him by the said order and by the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.

I HEREBY give notice that by an Order of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand made in the Wellington District thereof on the 7th day of January, 1914, all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 39 acres 0 roods 13 perches, being Block 73, Ruataniwha Crown Grant District, and all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title Vol. 65, folio 90, Hawke’s Bay Registry, was and is vested in the Public Trustee under and subject to the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II, Unclaimed Lands).
