Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, 30th June, 1931, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SUBURBAN LAND.

Kakahi Township.

Section 27, Block V: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £7 10s. Weighted with the sum of £2 for improvements consisting of boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated within the Township of Kakahi, with frontage to Pitotahi Street, half a mile from Kakahi Railway-station. Level section lightly covered with manuka scrub.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Kaitieke.

Sections 2, 3, 4, and 6, Block V: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 10-6 perches. Upset price, £20.

Situated in the Township of Kaitieke, eight miles from Raurimu Railway-station by metalled road. Level land covered with manuka scrub. Soil of light-quality loam.

Raetihi Borough.—Suburbs of Raetihi.

Section 59: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 29 perches. Upset price, £12.

Weighted with the sum of £4 10s. for improvements consisting of road and boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated within the Borough of Raetihi, with frontage to Alexander Road, one mile from Raetihi Railway-station. Level to easy undulating section divided by a creek.

TOWN LAND.

Town of Makuri.—Makuri Survey District.

Section 95, Block XIV: Area, 2 roods 38 perches. Upset price, £20.

Weighted with the sum of £35 for improvements consisting of cottage and porch, whare, iron shed, old shed, stable, and leanto. This sum is payable in cash on the fall of the hammer.

Situated in the Town of Makuri, having frontages to the main Makuri and Aohanga Roads, and adjoining the Makuri Post-office. Sloping land on siding. All in grass and fenced.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance with certificate-of-title fee (£1) within thirty days thereafter.

If the purchaser fails to make any of the prescribed payments by due date the amount already paid shall be forfeited and the contract for the sale be null and void.

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 26th May, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 22nd June, 1931.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 24th June, 1931, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Stratford County.—Ngatimaru Survey District.

(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.)

Section 18, Block V: Area, 440 acres. Capital value, £400. Half-yearly rent, £8.

After payment of first half-year’s rent, lease fee, and broken-period rent (if any) a remission from payment of rent for a period of three years will be allowed, provided improvements to value of £40 are effected annually during the exemption-period.

Loading for improvements, comprising about 100 acres felling and grassing, about 150 chains fencing and whare, is included in the capital value. Situated on the Maruoko Road about twenty-two miles from Stratford and six miles from Huiroa Railway-station.

The road is formed to the section and metalled, with the exception of the last two miles and a half.

About 330 acres was originally felled and grassed, but, with the exception of about 100 acres now in poor pasture, this has reverted to scrub and fern. Generally, the section comprises fairly easy country.

NOTICE is hereby given that HENRY CURRAN and WILLIAM GEORGE NORTON, of Auckland, Restaurant-proprietors, trading in partnership as “The Commercial Grill-rooms,” Chancery Street, Auckland, were this day adjudged bankrupts; and I hereby summon a meeting of creditors to be held at my office, Wright’s Buildings, Fort Street, Auckland, on Monday, the 1st day of June, 1931, at 10.30 o’clock a.m.
