Mining Privilege struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Act, 1926.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (4) of the Mining Act, 1926, that, sufficient cause not having been shown to the contrary, the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereunder has this day been struck off the Register.

I, WALTER HAROLD FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Masterton-Mangamahoe Telephone Association (Incorporated) has now been wound up, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

I, NORMAN CHARLES KENSINGTON, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Otago Land Board, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations thereunder, do hereby declare the result of the poll taken on the 27th day of April, 1931, to be as follows:—

CROWN LANDS NOTICE.

Education Reserves in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 4th May, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 11 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, 9th June, 1931, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Township of Featherston.

SECTION 120: Area, 5 acres. Upset annual rental, £7 2s. 6d. This section, which is level and in English grasses, is situated at the corner of Watt Street and Domain Road, half a mile distant from Featherston Railway-station. Small stream runs through section. Soil of heavy loam. Featherston town water-supply is available in addition to the aforementioned stream.

Improvements.—Improvements included in capital value consist of felling and grassing. Improvements not included in capital value, and which have to be paid for in cash, consist of stumping and fencing valued at £44.

Pongaroa Township.

Section 4, Block VII: Area, 1 rood. Upset annual rental, 5s. This section is situated in the Township of Pongaroa, with access by 5 chains of grass road from the main Alfredton-Weber road. Flat land in grass. Soil of fair quality. Improvements consist of felling and grassing, and are included in the capital value.
