WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 1931.

Resuming Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Settlement Purposes.

WHEREAS by section four of the Land for Settlements Amendment Act, 1927, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation, resume possession of the whole or any part of any Crown land held under lease or license (whether such land is ordinary Crown land, settlement land, or national-endowment land) for any of the purposes specified in section twelve of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are held under pastoral license and small grazing-run lease from His Majesty the King, issued under the Land Act, 1924, and dated as set forth in the said Schedule:

And whereas the Dominion Land Purchase Board has recommended that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto be resumed for the aforesaid purposes:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section four of the Land for Settlements Amendment Act, 1927, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, from and including the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—MOHAKA SURVEY DISTRICT.

(1) ALL that area of leasehold originally containing 8,519 acres, but now containing 8,317 acres 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, known as Pastoral Run No. 5, and being all the land comprised in pastoral license dated the 1st day of March, 1910, and recorded in Vol. 8L, folio 39, in the Land Registry of Hawke's Bay.

(2) All that area of leasehold containing 2,512 acres, more or less, known as Small Grazing-run No. 10, being Section 1, Block III, Mohaka Survey District, and being all the land comprised in small grazing-run lease dated the lst day of March, 1929, and recorded in Vol. 12L, folio 140, in the Land Registry of Hawke's Bay.

(3) All that area of leasehold containing 5,800 acres, more or less, known as Small Grazing-run No. 36, and being all the land comprised in small grazing-run lease dated the 1st day [L.S.] BLEDISLOE, Governor-General. A PROCLAMATION.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of April, 1931.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road adjoining land in Pirongia and Kawhia North Survey Districts, described in the Schedule hereto.
