Special Order made by the Gore Borough Council abolishing Wards.

THE following special order, made by the Gore Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920.

BOROUGH OF GORE.
Minutes of Special Meeting of the Gore Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Mersey Street, Gore, on Monday, 23rd March, 1931, at 8 o’clock p.m. Present: His Worship the Mayor (D. L. Poppellwell, Esquire), Chairman, Councillors Baldey, Hamilton, Pearce, Young, McLachlan, Davidson, Wallis, Hay, Wright, Gee, and Sim. Absent: Councillor McDougall.
Re-Confirmation of Special Order relating to Abolition of Wards.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Gore Borough Council, held on Tuesday, the 17th day of February, 1931, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at a special meeting of the Council, to be held on Monday, the 23rd day of March, 1931, at 8 o’clock p.m., at the Council Chambers, Mersey Street, Gore.
RESOLUTION.
“That, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 142 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Gore Borough Council resolves by way of special order that all wards and subdivisions of the Borough of Gore be abolished on and after the 13th day of April, 1931, and that thereafter the number of councillors for the undivided borough shall be twelve, in addition to the Mayor, and that the above resolution be confirmed at a special meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Mersey Street, Gore, on Monday, the 23rd day of March, 1931, at 8 o’clock p.m.”
Councillor Wallis moved and Councillor Young seconded that the foregoing resolution be passed and confirmed as a special order.—Carried.
Councillor Gee moved and Councillor Baldey seconded that the Mayor, Councillors Wallis, Young, and Town Clerk affix the seal of the borough to the said special order.—Carried.
