NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM HAROLD READY and ALAN KENNETH DUTHIE, practising as Barristers and Solicitors at The National Bank Buildings, Shortland Street, Auckland, under the style or firm of “Ready and Duthie,” has been dissolved. Mr. Ready will in future carry on his business on the 2nd floor of the bank buildings, and Mr. Duthie on the 1st floor.

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a supplementary loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for completing the cleansing, widening, and deepening existing watercourses, drains, and outfalls, and completing the making and constructing new watercourses, drains, and outfalls within the Piraunui Special-rating Area of the Board’s district, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to the Board’s classification of the rateable property within the said area, upon the rateable unimproved values of the rateable property of such area, upon Class “A” of one-fifth penny in the pound, upon Class “B” of one-tenth penny in the pound, and upon Class “C” of one-twentieth penny in the pound, such area comprising all those lands in the Land District of Auckland bounded as follows: Commencing at a point, being the north-western corner of the block Waihekau No. 4, continuing along the north-western boundary of the said block to a point 20 chains from the Piraunui Stream; thence in a straight line northwards to a point on the Morrinsville–Te Aroha Railway 30 chains from the junction of the Piraunui and Waiwhero Streams, and along the said railway to such junction; thence bounded by the Waiwhero Stream to the Thames Waikato Road; thence by that road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 12 chains; and thence by the north-eastern, eastern, southern, south-western, and western boundaries of the Piraunui Subdivision of the Hungahunga Drainage District, gazetted New Zealand Gazette of 9th November, 1922, at page 2959, to the point of commencement; and that such graduated special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that by extraordinary resolution made the 27th day of March, 1931, it was resolved that the Company be wound up, and that I, GUSTAV JAMES JULIUS FEIL, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

RESOLUTION.
THE following Regulations were laid before the members of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club at a meeting held on the 24th day of March, 1931, at Hastings, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such Club, Mr. H. A. Russell, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. H. A. Russell the Chairman of such Club and the meeting moved, and Mr. G. D. Beatson seconded, and it was resolved that such Regulations should be adopted and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”) doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Trentham Wellington Racing Club situated in the district of Wellington, and known as the Trentham Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said Club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
(a) Bookmakers.
(b) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
