Provided that this condition shall not be so construed as\nto prohibit the use of any aeroplane for the purpose of\ntravelling either to or from a rendezvous.\n- $8 .$ No person shall use or cause to be used on any lake,\npond, lagoon, mere, estuary, or other dead water any power-\nboat for the purpose of taking or killing, whether by himself\nor by some other person or persons at his direction, by driving,\nchasing, frightening, or stalking any imported game or native\ngame. For the purpose of this condition, power-boat means\nand includes any launch, boat, canoe, or other similar craft\npropelled either wholly or partly by mechanical power :\nProvided that this condition shall not be so construed as\nto prohibit the use of any power-boat for camping purposes\nor for the purpose of travelling either to or from a rendezvous\nor generally or to prohibit shooting from a moored power-boat.\n9. Any person committing a breach of any of these con-\nditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.\n
SCHEDULE.\nAll that area in the Westland Land District bounded on\nthe north by the Punakaiki or Deadman’s River to its source\non the Paparoa Range; thence by the summit of that range\nto Mount Faraday; down the Otututu River and up the Grey\nRiver to the nearest point thereof to Mount Haast; along\na right line to the said Mount Haast, and along the summit of\nthe southern watershed of the Maruia River to the summit\nof the Southern Alps; thence southerly along the summit\nof the range to the Hurunui Saddle, the source of the Tara-\nmakau River; thence down the said Taramakau River to\nthe sea-coast; and thence northerly along the sea-coast\nto the mouth of the Punakaiki Stream, the place of commence-\nment.\nAs witness my hand this 12th day of March, 1931.\nP. Open Season for Imported Game and Native Game, License\nFee, d.c., Hawera Acclimatization District.\n
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals\nProtection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, Philip Aldborough\nde la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of\nNew Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of\nMay, to the 31st day of July, 1931 (both days inclusive), to\nbe an open season in the Hawera Acclimatization District, as\ndescribed in the Schedule hereto, except in the areas referred\nto in Condition No. 3, for the taking or killing of the following\nimported game and native game-viz., cock pheasants,\nCalifornian quail, grey duck, and black swan-subject to\nthe following conditions.\n
CONDITIONS.\n1. LICENSES to take or kill such imported game and native\ngame within the said district will be issued to any person\non payment of the sum of twenty shillings $(20 s)$ ) each ; and the\nSecretary of the Hawera Acclimatization Society, or any\nperson authorized by such Secretary in that behalf, is hereby\nauthorized to sign and issue the said licenses.\n2. The number of such imported game and native game\nthat may be taken or killed by any one person in any one\nday shall not exceed ten cock pheasants, and twenty-five\nhead in all of grey duck and black swan.\n3. Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and\nnative game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill\nimported game or native game on lands actually and exclu-\nsively used by any registered acclimatization society for\nacclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public\ndomain.\n4. No person shall kill or destroy any such imported game\nor native game, or shoot at or attempt to shoot at any such\nimported game or native game, with any automatic or auto-\nloading gun, unless it is converted into a gun capable of\ncarrying two cartridges only, or with any rifle or pea-rifle,\nswivel-gun, punt-gun, or pump-gun, or shall use any gun\nother than a shoulder-gun; and no gun shall be used for\nthe purpose aforesaid the bore of which is larger than the\nsize known as No. 12 at the muzzle, nor shall any gun be\nused which exceeds $10 ext { lb. }$ in weight, and no cartridge shall\nbe used the length of which exceeds $2 \frac{3}{4} \mathrm{in}$.\n5. Shooting may begin not earlier than one hour before\nsunrise and must cease not later than one hour after sunset.\n6. No live birds of any species shall be used as decoys, nor\nshall more than twenty-five artificial decoys be used at any\none time (whether by one or several persons) on any particular\nwater within an area of less than 100 yards square.\n7. No person shall use or cause to be used any aeroplane\nin connection with the taking or killing of imported game or\nnative game:\nB\n

SCHEDULE.\nAll that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts\nbounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Taunga-\ntara Stream and proceeding thence up the middle of that\nstream to Mount Egmont; along a right line to the north-\neastern corner of Section 11, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey\nDistrict, along the eastern boundaries of Sections $11,13,16$,\nand I, Block VI, the northern boundaries of Section 79,\nBlock X, and Sections $80,81,103$, and 107 , Block II; north-\nwards along the middle of Palmer Road; eastwards along\nthe northern boundaries of Sections $29,31$, and 32, Block\nVIII, Kaupokonui; north-westerly along Hastings Road;\nand easterly along Finnerty Road, to the Waingongoro\nRiver; down the middle of that river; along the northern\nboundary of Block X, Ngaire Survey District; south-easterly\nalong Korepu Road and Ngaire Road; northerly along Oru\nRoad to the north-western boundary of Section 35, Block\nXI, Ngaire Survey District; thence along that boundary\nand the north-eastern boundary of said Section 35 and of\nSection 36 to the northern boundary of Block XI, aforesaid ;\neasterly along that block boundary to the south-western\nboundary of Subdivision 16, Pukengahu Block; along that\nboundary and the south-eastern boundary of said Subdivision\n16, the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 15 to Trig.\nStation B (Rahui) ; along the northern boundary of Block\nXII, Ngaire Survey District, to Section 11, Block VIII;\nthence by the western and northern boundaries of said\nSection 11 to the Patea River; down that river, and along\nthe southern boundary of Subdivision 7, Matemateonga\nBlock, the eastern boundaries of Subdivisions 7 and 6 to the\nnorthernmost corner of Section 1 of Subdivision 1 of Mate-\nmateonga Block; thence along the southern boundary of\nSection 8, Block II, Omona Survey District, the western\nboundaries of Sections 14 and 11, Block VII, the southern\nboundaries of Sections 11 and 12, Block VII, the southern\nboundary of Section 5, Block VIII, Omona Survey District ;\nacross Moeawatea Road; along the western boundaries of\nSections 1 and 2, Block V, Taurakawa Survey District, the\nsouthern boundaries of Sections 2 and 3, Block V, and along\nthe southern boundaries of Blocks VI, VII, and VIII, Tau-\nrakawa Survey District, to a range forming the county bound-\nary, and along that range passing through Waitu and Manga-\nrau Trig. to the Pokeka Road; thence by the Pokeka-Pipiriki\nRoad to the Watershed Road forming the western boundary\nof Section 5, Block IV, Momahaki Survey District; thence\nsoutherly along Watershed Road to the southern boundary of\nMangapapa No. 1c Block; thence westerly along the said\nsouthern boundary to the western boundary of Lot 1, Manga-\npapa Ib Block; thence generally southerly along the western\nboundaries of Lots 1 and 3, Mangapapa Ib Block, to the\nManganui-o-tahu Stream; thence down that stream to the\nwestern boundary of the Manganui-o-tahu Block; thence by\nthe western and southern boundaries of the Manganui-o-tahu\nBlock to Pakira Trig. Station; thence westerly to Orangi-\nhongi Trig. Station; thence southerly along the western\nboundaries of Lots 14 and 17 on plan 918, deposited in the\noffice of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, and the\neastern boundary of Lot 4, plan 659, deposited as aforesaid,\nto south-eastern corner of Lot 4 aforesaid; thence down the\nMangaone Stream to the eastern boundary of Section 16,\nBlock V, Nukumaru Survey District; thence along the said\neastern boundary to Wharekaranga Trig. Station; thence\nwesterly along the southern boundary of the said Section 16\nto the Mangaone Stream; thence down the Mangaone Stream\nto the Waitotara River; thence down the Waitotara River\nto the sea-coast; and thence north-westerly along the sea-\ncoast to the mouth of the Taungatara Stream, the place of\ncommencement.\nAs witness my hand this 12th day of March, 1931.\nP.
