Rescinding Forfeiture of Land in Wellington Land District.

Wellington, 9th February, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that forfeiture of the under-mentioned land has been rescinded, and the notice of forfeiture given under my hand and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 82, of the 27th November, 1930, on page 3645, is hereby revoked in so far as it applies to the said land.

NOTICE is hereby given that leases of the undermentioned Crown lands will be offered for sale by public auction at the Lands Office, Queen Street, Te Kuiti, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 18th March, 1931, in the manner and at the upset annual rents shown below:—
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Waitomo County.—Te Kuiti Township.
FOR lease in accordance with the provisions of the expired leases of the section described herein, originally granted under the Maori Land Administration Act, 1900, and regulations made thereunder.
Section 12, Block VIII: Area, 28·1 perches. Upset annual rental, £26 2s. Loading, £900.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Waitomo County.—Te Kuiti Township.
FOR lease in accordance with the provisions of the expired leases of the section described herein, originally granted under the Native Township Act, 1910, and regulations made thereunder.
Lot 8 of Allotments 13, 14, 15, and 16, Block XXIV: Area, 1 rood 1·28 perches. Upset annual rental, £3 1s.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
The sections, which comprise principally level land, are situated within a mile of the Te Kuiti Post-office and railway-station, and are mostly suitable for residential or business purposes.
Improvements on the sections, which are to be paid for separately, in cash, except where otherwise stated, comprise: Section 12, Block VIII: Picture-theatre. Amount to be paid in cash.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
- The highest bidder shall be the purchaser.
- A half-year’s rent at rate offered, together with rent for broken period from date of sale to 30th June, 1931, and lease and registration fees, together with valuation for improvements (if any), to be paid on fall of hammer.
- The term of lease shall be for twenty-one years, with right of renewal for further similar terms, at rentals to be fixed by revaluation.
- Rental payments to be made half-yearly in advance on the 1st January and 1st July.
- The lessee will pay all rates, taxes, and other assessments which may become due and payable in respect of the land.
- The lessee will keep the land free of noxious weeds.
- The lessee will keep all buildings, drains, and fences, in good order and repair.
- The lessee will not carry on any offensive trade.
- The lessee will not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any interest in the land without the previous consent in writing of the lessor first had and obtained.
- Rental payments in arrears for thirty days or a breach of the conditions of lease expressed or implied shall entitle the lessor to re-enter and determine the lease.
The lease and registration fee will be £1 1s.
The land is described for the general information of intending bidders, who are recommended, nevertheless, to make a personal inspection, as the Department is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of any description.

Dunedin, 9th February, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 16th March, 1931, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Defence Act, 1909.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Arrowtown Borough.—Town of Arrowtown.
SECTION 11, Block XII: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £65. Improvements comprise Drill Hall, 33 ft. by 60 ft., with small ante-room. Built of wood, iron roof.
Situated in Buckingham Street, Arrowtown, adjoining the Police-station. Level section; borough water-supply.
Terms of Sale.
Cash.—One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with certificate-of-title fee (£1), to be paid within thirty days thereafter.

FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Maniototo County.—Town of Komako.
RURAL LAND.
SECTIONS 36 and 39: Area, 8 acres 2 roods 1 perch. Capital value, £60. Upset half-yearly rent, £1 4s.
Section 37: Area, 8 acres 0 roods 9 perches. Capital value, £60. Upset half-yearly rent, £1 4s.
Section 38: Area, 8 acres 3 roods 2 perches. Capital value, £65. Upset half-yearly rent, £1 6s.
Sections weighted with the following improvements:—
Sections 36 and 39: Grassing, about 5 acres, £25; plantation, £10; lucerne, about 3½ acres, £17 10s.; fencing, £14 15s.: Total, £67 5s.
Section 37: Fencing to value of £6 10s.
Section 38: Fencing to value of £5 12s. 6d.
These amounts must be paid in cash.
Situated about three quarters of a mile from Waipiata Railway-station; good road access. Soil of fair quality, on gravel formation. Fairly well watered. Altitude from about 1,100 ft. to 1,250 ft. above sea-level.
