In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE POLAR ICE CREAM CO., LTD.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, regularly convened and duly held in the Chamber of Commerce, Swanson Street, Auckland, on Monday, 22nd December, at 3 o’clock p.m., the following resolution was passed as an extraordinary general resolution :—
“That, whereas the company has transferred all its assets to THE NEW POLAR ICE CREAM CO., LTD., in terms of an agreement entered on their behalf, and whereas the New Polar Ice Cream Co., Ltd., has assumed the responsibilities for the liabilities of this company, it is desirable that this company be wound up in terms of the Companies Act, 1908, and that it be wound up accordingly, and that ROBERT ARTHUR SPINLEY, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of LAIDLAW AND GRAY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of members of the above-named company, held on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, the following resolutions were passed :—
- That Laidlaw and Gray be required to be wound up voluntarily.
- That GEORGE WILLIAM GIBSON, of Dunedin, Merchant, and ALFRED HOWORTH, of Dunedin, Accountant, be and were thereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.
And that at a further extraordinary general meeting of the members of the company, held on the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, such resolutions were duly confirmed as special resolutions.
Creditors of the company are required to send full particulars of their claims to the Liquidators at their address, P.O. Box Number 334, Dunedin, on or before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.

THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £95,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the construction of permanent drainage and sewerage works within the borough and for the payment of the Council’s proportion of the cost of works beyond the borough which are required to provide an outfall, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
