OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND:
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otorohanga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Otorohanga County Council, situate in Ballance Street, Otorohanga, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and is numbered 25872. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice (the 29th day of October, 1930), to the County Clerk, Balance Street, Otorohanga.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £4 per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

TRADE AND SHIPPING REPORT, 1929.—The Annual Statistical Report on Trade and Shipping is published in two parts. Part I contains detailed particulars of the Dominion’s imports and exports under some nine hundred headings. Part II includes a discussion on the main features of the Dominion’s trade for the year, analytical and summary tables, details of New Zealand’s trade with Cook and other annexed Pacific Islands, shipping and port statistics.
