NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in
the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the
Native Land Court sitting at Rawene on the 19th November,
1930, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will
allow.

land : Motukaraka West A4 (part). Nature of application :
Assessment of compensation for land taken for the purposes
of a school-site.

No. 25. Applicant : The Under-Secretary, Public Works
Department. Name of land : Waima North A 19B, A 18B,
A 22, A 16A, A 12. Nature of application : Assessment of
compensation for land taken for Horeke-Taheke Road.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 7th October, 1930.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or
on deferred payments at the Public Hall, Ngatea, on Wednesday,
the 29th October, 1930, at noon, under the provisions
of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.--HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY.--
Pipiroa Suburbs.

SECTIONS 9/11, Block III : Area, 3 acres. Upset price, £30.
Weighted with £15, for improvements comprising trough
and piping, also approximately 20 chains fencing. This
amount is payable in cash.

Sections situated in the Pipiroa Township, having a frontage
to the main Waitakaruru--Pipiroa Road. Service cars between
Auckland and Thames pass the property daily.

These sections would prove suitable to any settler holding
an area in the locality.

Terms of Sale.

Cash : One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the
fall of the hammer, and the balance, with certificate-of-title
fee (£1), and loading for improvements, within thirty days
thereafter.

Deferred Payments : The deposit of 5 per cent. of the purchase-price, together with £1 1s. (license fee) and loading
for improvements, to be paid on the fall of the hammer.

The balance of the purchase-money, with interest thereon
at the rate of 5½ per cent. per annum, to be paid by instalments extending over the period of thirty-four and a half
years.

The licensee shall have the right at any time during the
currency of his license to pay off either the whole of the purchase-money or any half-yearly instalment or instalments
thereof then remaining unpaid.

Upon receipt of the final instalment the certificate of title
in respect of the land purchased shall issue upon payment of
the prescribed certificate-of-title fee.

If purchaser fails to make any of the prescribed payments
by due date the amount already paid shall be forfeited, and
the contract for the sale shall be null and void.

The lands are described for the general information of
intending bidders, who are recommended, nevertheless, to
make a personal inspection, as the Department is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of any description.

Land in the Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 7th October, 1930.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act,
1924, and applications will be received at the Auckland

District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock
p.m. on Monday, 27th October, 1930.

Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, on Wednesday, 29th October, 1930, at 10 o'clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.

The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable
lease.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.--SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Taumarunui County.--Tuhua Survey District.

LOT 2 of Section 2, Block I : Area, 690 acres 3 roods 32 perches.
Capital value, £430. Deposit on deferred payments, £20 ;
half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, £13 6s. 6d.
Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £8 12s.

Weighted with £40, for improvements comprising approximately 80 chains fencing. This sum is payable either in
cash or may be secured on instalment mortgage for a period
of ten years, with interest at 5 per cent. per annum if purchased
by a discharged soldier and 5½ per cent. per annum if purchased by a civilian.

Grazing property, situated on the Ongarue-Okahukura
Road, half a mile from Ongarue Railway-station, store, school,
and post-office. Section adjoins the main trunk railway-line.
Approximately 520 acres tutu and manuka, part of which was
at one time grassed, but has now reverted. Approximately
20 acres felled and grassed (now reverted); balance in standing
bush. Ragwort requires attention. No buildings. Well
watered by springs and running streams.

NOTE : The Crown selector will require to pay adjoining
owner for half-share of approximately 50 chains southern
boundary-fence which is not included in the above loading.

Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection for Flax-growing.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 7th October, 1930.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands
are open for selection for the purposes of flax cultivation and cutting, and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock
p.m. on Tuesday, the 28th October, 1930, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, on Wednesday, the 29th October, 1930, at 10.30
o'clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district, or by any
Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey
Office, Auckland, at the conclusion of the examination of
applicants there.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.--WAIHI SWAMP.
Block II, Waihi South Survey District.

SECTION 39 : Area, 50 acres. Annual rental : £25 for two
years; £41 for balance of term.

Section 40 : Area 50 acres. Annual rental, £25 for two
years; £41 for balance of term.

Section 39 : Growth of flax on approximately 40 acres
should cut ten-ton crop in two years. Will require to be
cleared of scrub, raupo, and blackberry; 10 acres is heavy
manuka.

Section 40 : Fair growth of flax on approximately 30
acres, and should cut a ten-ton crop in two years. Section
will require to be cleared of raupo, scrub, and blackberry;
about 20 acres in heavy manuka.

Successful applicants for sections will be required to deposit
the first half-year's rent, and lease fee.

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS.

Applications may be made at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Auckland.

Applications must be made on proper forms, to be obtained
at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, and the
principal post-offices in the locality of the lands to be opened,
and be accompanied by the required deposit.
