THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, from the date of gazetting of this Order in Council, declare that the portion of main highway described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be a main highway, and doth further declare that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto shall become part of a main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI–DARGAVILLE: All that portion of the Whangarei–Dargaville Main Highway in the Hobson County, commencing at the Paradise Road Junction at Kirikopuni, and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction, and terminating at the Paradise Road Junction at the north-western corner of Section 14s, Block VI, Maungaru Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles 48 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 79942, and thereon coloured black.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI–DARGAVILLE: All that road or portion of road in the Hobson County, commencing at the junction of the Paradise Road and the Whangarei–Dargaville Main Highway at Kirikopuni, and proceeding generally via the said Paradise Road in a southerly and north-westerly direction, and terminating at its junction with the Whangarei–Dargaville Main Highway at the north-eastern corner of Section 14s, Block VI, Maungaru Survey District, being a distance of 5 miles 64 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 79942, and thereon coloured red.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington.

Authorizing the Manawatu-Oroua Electric-power Board to construct Electric Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Manawatu-Oroua Electric-power Board to erect electric lines as shown on plan marked P.W.D. 79591, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and such further lines as may from time to time be required in the Manawatu-Oroua Electric-power District as hereinafter defined; transformers and substations for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in the Manawatu-Oroua Electric-power District, as defined by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 100, of the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

No electric lines shall be used for the distribution of electrical energy until the Manawatu-Oroua Electric-power Board has obtained a license for such purpose in accordance with the provisions of section 319 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

Any conditions inserted in such licenses shall be strictly complied with by such Board.

Such Board shall forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works such further plans and particulars as the Minister of Public Works may from time to time require.

The Board shall not, without the consent in writing of the Minister of Public Works, erect any electric lines along the routes of the Government main trunk transmission-lines.

The works hereby authorized shall be constructed so as to comply with the regulations made under section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, dated the 11th day of July, 1927, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th day of the same month, or any regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein.

The Board shall substantially complete the works hereby authorized within a period of five years from the date hereof, or within such further time as the Minister may allow in the event of the work being delayed by strikes, lock-outs, breakdowns, or other unavoidable causes not due to any neglect by the Board.

The Board shall rectify to the satisfaction of the Minister of Telegraphs any interference or disturbance that affects the satisfactory working of the telegraph-lines which are the property of the Telegraph Department.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Streets in the Borough of Napier of a Width of less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1930.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Napier Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed streets, described in the Schedule hereto, of a width of less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the proposed street secondly described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
FIRSTLY, those proposed streets in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Napier, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 34·9 perches, more or less, being portion of Suburban Sections 17 and 18, Borough of Napier.
Secondly, that proposed street situated in the said land district and borough, containing by admeasurement 33 perches, more or less, being portion of Suburban Section 17, Borough of Napier.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 79335, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Palmerston North of a Width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1930.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Palmerston North City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width of less than sixty-six feet but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 26·6 perches, more or less, being part Sections 314 and 315, Town of Palmerston North. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 78010, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
