WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their amendments, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes, at Anne Street West, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land, situated in the City of Wellington, containing thirty-one one-hundredths of a perch (0·31p.), being part of Lot 94 on deposited plan No. 2644, and being coloured blue on the plan above referred to.

THE NATIONAL DAIRY ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the NATIONAL DAIRY ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED.

A T an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held at Hamilton on the 24th day of June, 1930, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at Palmerston North on the 23rd day of July, 1930, the same resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution:—

“1. That it is expedient that the above association should be reconstructed as a company limited by shares, and that its business should accordingly, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, be transferred to a new company, limited by shares, to be formed and called ‘The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited,’ the Memorandum and Articles of Association of which new company are prepared and verified for the purpose of identification by the signature of Arthur Morton, the Chairman of Directors of the Association.

“2. That the Association be wound up voluntarily.

“3. That C. H. Backhouse be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the association for the purposes of such winding-up.

“4. That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby directed to consent to the registration of the said new company under the name of ‘The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited.’

“5. That the said Liquidator of the association be and he is hereby authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to sell the whole or any part of the company’s business and property to The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited, the new company referred to in paragraph 1, and to receive in consideration or in part consideration therefor shares, and in particular vendor shares, or other like interests in The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited, the new company, and to distribute the same among the members of this association.

“6. That in particular the said Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized, if he shall think fit, to execute the draft agreement produced, expressed to be made between the association and C. H. Backhouse, its Liquidator, of the one part, and the new company called ‘The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited,’ of the other part, which draft agreement is verified by the signature of Arthur Morton, the Chairman of Directors of the Association, and to take all such steps and do all such things as he shall deem necessary or expedient to complete the transfer of the business of the company upon the terms contained in the said agreement.”

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

RESOLUTION RESPECTING SPECIAL RATE, ETC.

No. 33. Development and Improvement Loan, 1930 (£10,000).

I N exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 9 of the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act, 1921, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers it enabling, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves by way of special order:—

First: To raise a loan of £10,000 for the purpose of additions to buildings and inspection-pits for the repair and cleaning of petrol and trolley buses; trolley wire, &c., for trolley-bus services; loops at Athelstane Street, South Crescent Road, Worcester Street, Linwood, Stanmore Road, Colombo Street North, and Monica Park. Tempering oven at workshop, and contingencies, and the cost of raising loan.

Second: That the said sum of £10,000 shall be repayable on the first day of October, 1955.

Third: That no portion of interest or sinking fund on the said loan shall be paid out of the loan-moneys received hereunder.

Fourth: That the security for the loan shall be the Christchurch Tramway undertaking and its revenues, subject to existing charges, together with a special rate to provide interest and sinking fund on the said loan.

Fifth: That the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought four six five five seven five nought pence (0·004655750d.) in the pound sterling upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Tramway District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was made on the 7th day of July, 1930, and confirmed on 4th August, 1930.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kaitaia.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of parcels of land required to be taken: 2 acres 1 rood 11 perches.

Being portion of Section No. 35. Situated in Block VII, Whangape Survey District; coloured on plan, red.

Situated in the Mangonui County, Auckland Registration District. (S.O. plan 23945.)
