WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act,
1924, and their Amendments, and the Public Works
Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named
Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf,
to execute a certain work—namely, for street purposes at
Haughton Bay Road, Wellington—and for the purposes of
such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that
a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the
Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for
inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office
hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or the taking of such land should, if they
have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said
public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the
same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington
City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE.

All those pieces of land situate in the City of Wellington
containing seventy-four one-hundredths of a perch (0·74p.)
two and two-tenths of a perch (2·2p.) two and two-tenths of
a perch (2·2p.), and one and thirty-eight one-hundredths of
a perch (1·38p.), being part of Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6, respectively,
on deposited plan 8961, the said pieces of land being also
coloured blue, red, yellow, and purple, respectively, on the
said plan.

ROLL OF HONOUR just published by the DEFENCE
DEPARTMENT, giving—

(1) A list of members of the New Zealand Expeditionary
Forces killed in action, died of wounds inflicted,
of accidents occurring, or disease contracted while
on active service.

(2) Those who died after discharge from the New Zealand
Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or
disease contracted while on active service.

(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease
contracted while training with or attached to the
New Zealand Expeditionary Forces of New Zealand.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of
£4 per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE.
A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d.,
increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or
part thereof; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the
first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding
publication.
