WHANGAREI ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District com-
mencing at a point on the sea-coast opposite the mouth of
the Mangawai Harbour; thence proceeding generally southerly
up that harbour and along the stream, the eastern boundary
of Section 15, Block III, Mangawai Survey District, and
Section 31, Block I, Pakiri Survey District; thence southerly
along the eastern boundaries of Sections 16 and 78, Block I
aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned
section; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of
Section 78 and again southerly along the eastern boundary
of Section 50; thence westerly along the southern boundaries
of Sections 50, 51, and 56, Block I aforesaid, the southern
boundaries of Sections 57, 60, 61, 64, and 65 to the Hakaru
River; thence down the Hakaru River to its intersection
with the Great North Road; thence generally northerly
along the western side of the Great North Road and the
Main Road, Mangaturoto-Waipu, to the eastern boundary
of the Wairau Parish; thence along the eastern boundaries
of the Wairau and Mareretu Parishes, the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 154, 155, 156, 157, 159, 68, and 67
Block XVI, Tangihua Survey District; Sections 66, 65, 61,
and 59, Block XV, Tangihua Survey District, Sections 63,
51, and 44, Block III, Matakoe Survey District, and the
production of the last-named boundary to the Mangonui
River; thence down the middle of that river, and up the
middle of the Tauraroa River to the eastern boundary of
Allotment 1a, Waltonโ€™s Grant; along that boundary to the
north-eastern corner of Allotment 1a, and along a right line
to Trig. Station Horokaka; along the western boundaries of
Sections 14, 15A, 16, 7, and 7A to a public road; north-easterly
generally along that public road to the Waiotama River;
down the middle of that river and the middle of the Tangihua
River, and up the middle of the Wairoa River; along the
south-western boundaries of Sections 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block
XV, Mangakahia Survey District; north-westerly along a
public road; along the southern boundary of a public reserve,
along the southern boundaries of Sections 9 and 8A, Block X,
Mangakahia Survey District, Sections 2, 22, 23, and 26,
Block IX, Mangakahia Survey District, to a right line between
Trig. Stations 43 (Tutamoe) and 18 (Te Tarai o Rahiri);
thence north-easterly along that line to said Trig. Station 18;
thence north-easterly along a right line to the north-western
corner of Section 1, Block IV, Hukerenui Survey District,
and along the north-western boundaries of said Section 1,
and of Sections 16, 15, 1, 2, and 14, Block I, Opuawhanga,
to the sea-coast at Opuawhanga; thence generally southerly
along the sea-coast to the Mangawai Harbour, the place of
commencement.

BAY OF ISLANDS ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the entrance to the Whangape
Harbour and proceeding thence up the middle of that harbour
and of the Awaroa River to the south-western corner of
Section 3, Block XIV, Takahue Survey District; thence
along the northern watershed of the Taraire and Mangamuka
Rivers, passing through Raetea, Kumetewhiwhia, and Mau-
gataniwha, to Ratakamaru; thence along the northern
boundaries of Timber Sections 2, 6, and 16, of the Omahuta
State Forest, to the northern boundary of Block XVI,
Maungataniwha Survey District; along that boundary and
down the Whakatereterekia and Mangapapa Streams;
thence up the Waipapa River and Pukatea Stream, along the
north-western boundaries of Sections 9 and 8, Block XIV,
Kaeo Survey District, Sections 35 and 15, Puketi Settlement,
Section 5, Block XV, Kaeo Survey District, and Old Land
Claim 28; along the western boundaries of Section 16,
Block XVI, Kaeo Survey District, and of Sections 28, 27,
Pungaere K.G.R., Sections 10 and 14, Block XII, along
the northern boundaries of Sections 14 and 26, the north-
western boundaries of Sections 17 and 16, Block XII, Kaeo
Survey District, Sections 1, 3, and 5, Block II, Kerikeri
Survey District; along the north-western boundary of
Otaha No. 4 Block to the Takou River; thence down that
river to the sea and along the sea-coast to Helena Bay;
thence along the north-western boundaries of Sections 11,
14, 2, 1, 15, and 16, Block I, Opuawhanga Survey District,
and of Section 1, Block IV, Hukerenui Survey District, to
the north-western corner of the last named section; along
a right line to Trig. Station 18, Taraio-Rahiri; along a right
line to Trig. Station Tutamoe; along a right line in the
direction of the north-western corner of Section 3, Block
XIII, Punakitere Survey District, to its intersection with
the southern boundary of Section 5, Block II, Tutamoe
Survey District; thence along the southern boundaries
generally of said Section 5 and of Sections 14, 3, 4, and 5,
Block I, Tutamoe Survey District; along the north-eastern
boundaries of Sections 7, 6, and 5, Block V, Tutamoe Survey
District; across a public road, and along the south-eastern,
southern, and western boundaries of Section 10 to the
southern boundary of Block IV, Waipoua Survey District;
thence along the southern boundaries of Blocks IV, III, II,
and I, Waipoua Survey District, to the sea-coast; thence
along the sea-coast to the entrance to the Whangape Harbour,
the point of commencement, including all adjacent islands.

MANGONUI-WHANGAROA ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded
on the west and north by the Tasman Sea from Whangape
Harbour to North Cape; on the east generally by the South
Pacific Ocean to Takou River; and on the south by a line
up the said Takou River to and along the north-western
boundary of Old Land Claim 4; along the north-western
boundary of section 5, subdivision of Kaipiro Kauri-gum
Reserve; along the western boundary of said Section 5
and the north-western boundaries of Section 3 and of Section
1 to Te Whau Trig. Station; along the north-western and
western boundaries of Section 16, said Kaipiro Kauri-
gum Reserve, the northern boundaries of Sections 12 and
14, the western boundary of the last-named section, the
northern and western boundaries of Section 10, the western
boundary of Section 15A, to a public road; westerly and
southerly along this road to the north-western corner of
Section 16, Block XVI, Kerikeri Survey District; along the
western boundary of said Section 16, the north-eastern
and north-western boundaries of Section 28 (Old Land
Claim), along the north-western boundaries of Sections 5,
Block XV, Kaeo Survey District, and 1s and 3s, Puketi
Settlement, the north-western boundaries of Sections 15,
8, and 9, to Pukatea Stream; down that stream, and the
Waipapa River, and up the Mangapapa and Whakatere-
terekia Streams to the northern boundary of Block XVI,
Maungataniwha Survey District; along the northern bound-
ary of that block the north-eastern boundary of Omahuta
State Forest Timber Sections 16, 6, and 2, to Ratakamaru
Trig. Station; along the north-eastern boundary of the
last-named section to Mangamuka East Block; along the
northern boundaries of that block to Maungataniwha Trig.
Station; along the northern and western boundaries of
Mangamuka West Block to Kumetewhiwhia Trig. Station;
westerly along the northern watershed of the Taraire River,
passing through Raetea to the Awaroa River at the south-

Deer to cease to be Imported Game in Ashburton Acclimatization District.


BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921-22 (hereinafter referred
to as the said Act), I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare
that on and from the date hereof deer shall cease to be
included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect
to the Ashburton Acclimatization District, described in the
Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

ASHBURTON ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded on
the north-west by the summit of the Southern Alps; on the
north-east by the Rakaia River from its mouth to its source
at Whitcombe Pass; on the south-east by the sea; and on
the south-west generally by the middle of the Rangitata
River to Forest Creek, by the Forest Creek to its source in
the Two Thumbs Range; thence by a line along the summit
of the Two Thumbs Range to the summit of the Southern
Alps, the point of commencement.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 3rd day of July, 1930.
