AT a meeting of shareholders of the above company held on the 27th day of January, 1930, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
“That it is proved to the company’s satisfaction that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and that the company be accordingly wound up.”
It was further resolved:—

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand,

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Auckland Total Abstinence Society or Trust Board.
NOTICE is hereby given that on Monday, the 16th day of December, 1929, The Honourable David Stanley Smith, a Judge of this Honourable Court, approved the scheme for the disposition of trust property submitted herein by the trustees. The scheme so approved is as follows:—

That all reasonable expenses of preparing the scheme submitted to the Attorney-General and laid before a Judge of the Supreme Court, and of procuring the approval thereof, including the costs of all parties appearing at the hearing (such expenses to be ascertained by the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland) shall be paid out of the funds of the trust by the trustees.

That the trustees be empowered to sell all that piece or parcel of land situated in the Parish of Waitemata and County of Eden, containing sixteen and a half perches, more or less, being Lot Number five of the subdivision of Allotment Number twenty of Section Number twenty-one of the Town of Auckland, and the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 8, folio 110, of the Register-book of the Land Registry Office at Auckland, together with the buildings thereon erected at present vested in the trustees.

That all personal property at present held by the trustees as trustees for the said society and the proceeds of the sale of the property mentioned in clause 2 hereof when sold shall be paid, transferred, and assigned to the said The Auckland Total Abstinence Society.

That the whole of the property be paid, transferred, and assigned to the said society by the said trustees (hereinafter termed the Trust Fund) shall be invested by the said society in any securities authorized by any law from time to time in force in New Zealand for the investment of trust funds, with power to the society to change such investments for others of a like nature.

That the society be empowered to apply the whole of the income of the said Trust Fund in the promotion of personal abstinence from the use of intoxicating liquors in accordance with the rules of the said society.

That if at any time hereafter the society shall cease to prosecute the promotion of personal abstinence from the use of intoxicating liquors, or if for any reason it becomes impossible or impracticable for the said society to carry out the trusts imposed upon it in respect of the said fund, then the said society shall prepare a further scheme under the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, for the disposition of the Trust Fund, and the income therefore derived and remaining unexpended, and shall take all necessary steps to procure the scheme so prepared to be approved and adopted under the provisions of the said Act.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and in the matter of the Counties Act, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-entitled Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the provision of land for the purpose of a road through Opoho 4B 1 Block and Nuhaka 2A 4A 10 Block, situated in Blocks V and VII, Nuhaka Survey District, and for that purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is likewise given that a plan of the said land is deposited in the office of the said Council in Queen Street in the Borough of Wairoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Council at its office aforesaid.
Date of first publication: 27th day of January, 1930.

All those pieces of land, containing in the aggregate seven perches, more or less, being portion of Opoho 4B 1 Block, situated in Block V, Nuhaka Survey District, and portion of the Nuhaka 2A 4A 10 Block, situated in Block VII, Nuhaka Survey District, in the County of Wairoa: As the same are delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Hawke’s Bay under Number 967 (green), and therein coloured purple and pink.
