WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds (£500), authorized to be raised by the Whangamomona County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of erecting a worker's dwelling at Makahu, situated in the Strathmore Riding of the County of Whangamomona, the said Whangamomona County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny (7/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprising Strathmore Riding, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whangamomona County Council, held on the 20th day of January, 1930, and the seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangamomona affixed hereto in accordance with a resolution of the Council.

MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of roads—and, for the purposes of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said county, situate at Te Araroa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the 22nd day of May, 1930, the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

THE MECCA CAFE, LIMITED, registered under the Companies Act, 1908, at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, held on the 23rd day of May, 1930, passed the following extraordinary resolution :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, as it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and it is advisable to wind up same.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming, metalling, and fencing Peeks Road, and purchasing land required therefor, and metalling the unmetalled portion of No. 8 Road in the Waitoa Riding, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence half-penny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Peeks Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland in the Waitoa Survey District bounded towards the west by the Piako River, commencing at a point being the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5, plan 21548, in Section 86, Waitoa Estate Subdivision, and continuing to the southern boundary of Te Rangaetahae No. 2 ; towards the north by that boundary and the same produced to the West Road ; towards the east by that road, the crossing of the Whakahoro Road, and
