FIRST SCHEDULE.
PART OF ROTORUA ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area of land in the County of Wairoa which is situated within the boundaries of the Rotorua Acclimatization District.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
AREA WHEREIN OPOSSUMS MAY NOT BE TAKEN.
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District commencing at Mautakitaki Point, near the old accommodation-house known as Goodall’s; thence by the shore of Lake Waikaremoana to the mouth of the Okereru Creek; thence by that creek to its source; thence by a right line to Ngamoko Trig. Station; and thence by a right line from Ngamoko to the point of commencement at Mautakitaki Point.

Open Season for the Taking or Killing of Opossums in the South Canterbury Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of May, 1930.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that opossums may be taken or killed within the South Canterbury Acclimatization District, described in the Schedule hereto, except in any sanctuary other than a scenic reserve, from noon on the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, to noon on the second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, subject to the general regulations made by Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.
And, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further order and declare that licenses to take or kill opossums within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of two pounds ten shillings each; and doth hereby appoint the Chief Postmaster at Timaru and the Postmasters at Geraldine and Temuka to sign and issue such licenses to take or kill opossums.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTH CANTERBURY ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at Mount Cook, and proceeding thence along the summits of the Southern Alps and the Two Thumbs Range to the source of the Forest Creek; thence down that stream and the middle of the Rangitata River to the sea; thence along the sea-coast to the Pareora River, and up the Pareora River to its source; by a right line to the summit of Mount Nimrod; thence by a right line to Trig. Station F; thence northerly along the summit of the range to Trig. K; thence by a line due west to the Hakataramea River; thence up the Hakataramea River and Dalgety Creek to Hakataramea Pass; thence by a right line passing through Trig. Station N 1 to Stony Stream; thence down Stony Stream to the Waitaki River; and on the west by a line up the middle of the Waitaki and Pukaki Rivers to Pukaki Lake; thence up the middle of Pukaki Lake to the Tasman River; thence up the middle of the Tasman River to the Tasman Glacier; thence along the western boundary of the said Tasman Glacier to a point in line with a line from Mount Cook and passing through Ball Hutt; thence by that line to Mount Cook and the summit of the Southern Alps, the place of commencement.

And, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further order and declare that licenses to take or kill opossums within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of two pounds ten shillings each; and doth hereby appoint the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill, and the Postmasters at Awarua Plains, Balfour, Dipton, Gore, Lumsden, Mataura, Nightcaps, Orawia, Otatau, Riversdale, Riverton, Wairio, Winton, and Woodlands to sign and issue such licenses to take or kill opossums.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the head of Bligh Sound and proceeding thence along a right line, passing through Cloudy Pass and Castle Mount, to the summit of the range forming the eastern watershed of the Clinton River; thence southerly along the summit of that range to Mount Eglinton; along a right line to Round Peaks; along the summit of the western watershed of Lake Wakatipu to Jane Peak; thence along a right line to Eyre Peak; thence along a right line to the source of the Mataura River; and down the middle of the Mataura River to the sea; thence westerly and northerly generally along the sea-coast to the point of commencement: including all adjacent islands, together with Stewart Island and the islands adjacent thereto.
