Notice to Mariners No. 16 of 1930.

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—EAST COAST.—JACKS POINT.
Light to be altered to Flashing.
Position: Lat. 44° 27′ S., long. 171° 17′ E. (approx.).
Date of Alteration: 29th May, 1930.
Abridged Description: Fl. ev. 3 sec. 94 ft. 14 M. (U).
Alteration: The existing occulting light is to be altered to flashing, showing one flash every three seconds—thus: flash, 1 sec.; eclipse 2 sec. The light will be unwatched.
Remarks: During the period 14th to 28th May (inclusive) a temporary fixed light, comprising two 5th order lights spaced about 3 ft. apart and visible for 7 miles (approx.), will be shown from the same tower at a position 4 ft. lower than the existing light.
