Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £360
by the Tinwald Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of
April, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Tinwald Town Board (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) proposes to borrow, in
accordance with the provisions of section three of the Main
Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of three hundred
and sixty pounds by a loan to be known as “Ashburton
Traffic-bridge Loan, 1930,” for the purpose of providing its
proportion of the cost of constructing the Ashburton Traffic-
bridge:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him
in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the
said local authority of the sum of three hundred and sixty
pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce
to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten
shillings per centum per annum, upon terms of making the
said sum, together with interest thereon, repayable by instal-
ments extending over a period of three years.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £829
by the Riverton Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of
April, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Riverton Borough Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant
to the terms of a Warrant issued under section one hundred
and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, to raise the sum
of eight hundred and twenty-nine pounds by a loan to be
known as “Aparima River Bridge Loan, 1930,” for the
purpose of meeting the balance of its share of the cost of
constructing the Aparima River Bridge:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent
consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, to the borrowing by the
said local authority of the said sum of eight hundred and
twenty-nine pounds at a rate or rates of interest being such as
shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of
five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and
by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising
by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount
of eight hundred and twenty-nine pounds for a term not
exceeding thirty-six and a half years, at such rate or rates of
interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding
the rate of five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum,
subject to the condition that the said local authority shall,
before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make
provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking
fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and shall
thereafter make to such sinking fund payments at intervals
of not more than one year at a rate or rates which shall be
not less than the rate of one pound per centum, such payments
to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time
being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to
be made not later than one year after the first day from which
interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed,
and subject to the further condition that no portion of interest
or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

WHEREAS the Ashburton Borough Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) proposes to
borrow, in accordance with the provisions of section three of
the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of one
thousand nine hundred and fifty-three pounds by a loan to
be known as “Ashburton Traffic-bridge Loan, 1930,” for the
purpose of providing its proportion of the cost of constructing
the Ashburton Traffic-bridge:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities

by the Timaru Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of
April, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Timaru Borough Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant
to the terms of a requisition issued under section twenty-two
of the Health Act, 1920, to raise the sum of one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-five pounds by a loan to be known
as “Sanitation Loan, 1930,” for the purpose of providing
sanitary conveniences for men in Strathallan Street, Timaru;
sanitary conveniences for children on Caroline Bay, Timaru;
and extension of the Borough Southern Outfall Sewer:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this
behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local
authority of the said loan up to the amount of one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-five pounds for a term of ten
years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce
to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten
shillings per centum per annum, subject to the condition that
