company, held at Wellington on the 26th day of March,
1930, it was resolved by way of entry in its minute-book that
the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. ARTHUR
EDWARD BURCH be appointed Liquidator.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME.

I, VICTOR FREDERICK EADES, heretofore called and
known by the name of VICTOR FREDERICK DUNCAN,
hereby give public notice that on the 17th day of January,
1930, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and
abandoned my former name of “Victor Frederick Duncan,”
and then assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth
on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of
“Victor Frederick Eades” instead of the name of “Victor
Frederick Duncan”: And I give further notice that by a deed
poll dated the 17th day of January, 1930, duly executed and
enrolled in the Auckland Registry of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand on the 23rd day of January, 1930, I formally
and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said name of
“Victor Frederick Duncan,” and declared that I had assumed
and adopted, and intended thenceforth upon all occasions

whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Victor Frederick
Eades” instead of the name of “Victor Frederick Duncan,”
and so as to be at all times thereafter known or described
by the name of “Victor Frederick Eades” exclusively.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 230 of the
Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the
members of the above-named company will be held at the
office of J. H. Barnett, Public Accountant, Huddart Parker
Buildings, Wellington, on the 15th day of April, 1930, at two
o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account
laid before the company showing the manner in which the
winding-up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that
may be given by the Liquidator, and for the purpose of passing
an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, accounts,
and documents of the company and of the Liquidator.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon the Pahiatua
Borough Council by section 56, subsection (3), of the Res-
serves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empower-
ing Act, 1919, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Borough of Pahiatua was taken on the 6th day of
March, 1930, on the proposal to make a rate to be known as
“The Carnival Park Rate,” over the whole of the unimproved
rateable property of the Borough of Pahiatua, such rate to
provide an annual sum not in excess of one hundred and
fifty pounds (£150) per annum, to provide funds for the
maintenance and improvements of the Carnival Park and of
the roads and footpaths giving access thereto, and that the
number of votes recorded respectively for and against the
proposal was as follows: For, 45; against, 16; informal, 1.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
