Arrangements for taking Poll respecting Proposed Borough of One Tree Hill.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that a poll shall be taken on the proposal that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a borough under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, by name the Borough of One Tree Hill; and, further, doth hereby make the following appointments and arrangements for the purpose of taking the said poll :-

  1. Arthur Leese, of One Tree Hill, to be the Returning Officer for the purpose of taking the said poll, and also to be the person authorized to prepare a voters' roll of the persons entitled to vote at the said poll.
  2. The voters' roll prepared and signed by the said Arthur Leese shall be the voters' roll to be used at the said poll.
  3. Each person on such roll shall have and may exercise one vote, and no more.
  4. The said poll shall be taken on Wednesday, the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and shall close at seven o'clock in the afternoon of that day.
  5. Except as herein provided, the poll shall be taken as nearly as may be in the manner provided by the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, and the Returning Officer hereby appointed shall be deemed to be a Returning Officer appointed for the purpose of that Act.
    SCHEDULE.
    AREA PROPOSED TO BE CONSTITUTED THE BOROUGH OF ONE TREE HILL.
    ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded towards the north-east by the north-eastern side of the Great South Road from its junction with the Auckland-Onehunga Road to Hamlin's Creek at St. Anne's Bridge; thence towards the south generally by Hamlin's Creek and Manukau Harbour to the south-eastern corner of the Borough of Onehunga; thence towards the south-west generally by the Borough of Onehunga to the Auckland-Onehunga Road; and thence towards the west generally by the said Auckland-Onehunga Road to the place of commencement.

Extending Time for holding General Election of Members of Kaipara River Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-seven of the River Boards Act, 1908, it is provided that the general election of members of the various River Boards throughout the Dominion shall be held on the second Tuesday in January in every third year:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such election of members of the Kaipara River Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section forty-two of the River Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of members for the Kaipara River District; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid river district the said general election shall be held and take place on Wednesday, the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day January, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that for the purpose of enabling any scheme of consolidation of the interests of owners of Native land into suitable areas to be prepared and carried into effect the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, prohibit for a period not exceeding twelve months any alienation of Native land in respect of which application has been made by the Native Minister to the Court for the preparation of such a scheme:
And whereas an application has been made by the Native Minister to the Native Land Court for the preparation of a scheme of consolidation of the interests of the owners of the blocks mentioned in the Schedule hereto into suitable areas:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby prohibit for a period of twelve months all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto.

Revoking an Order in Council extending the Operation of Heavy-traffic Licenses in the Auckland District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and fifty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke as from the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, the Order in Council dated the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 19, of the nineteenth day of the same month, extending the operation of heavy-traffic licenses issued by the Auckland City Council under its by-laws.
