Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a public pound to a reserve for an endowment in aid of the funds of the Borough of Te Awamutu.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection eight of section seven of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1922, it is enacted that in all cases where an order is dated more than five years previously to the receipt of the application the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court shall first obtain the consent of the Governor-General in Council before making any order thereunder:

And whereas application has been made under the said section to amend orders of the Native Land Court dated the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, appointing successors to the interests of Panapa Waihopi (deceased), in Okahuatiu No. 1A 3, Tangutuhanui No. 2, Paraeroa No. 1, Te Karaka No. 3, Tapuikitia C, Mangatu No. 3, Mangatu No. 4, Rangatira No. 3A 1, Rangatira No. 3K, Hauomatuku No. 9A 3, Torechaua No. 24, Patutahi, Section 91, Block VII, and Whakapaupakihi No. 1 Blocks respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Chief Judge exercising with regard to the said recited orders of the Native Land Court all and every the jurisdiction granted to him by the said section seven, and to the making of any such order or orders thereunder as may seem necessary or expedient.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

SCHEDULE.

KETETAHI (Tauponuiatia) Block, Pihanga Survey District: Approximate area, 92 acres 2 roods.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required.

Extension of Copyright Act, 1913, to the Portuguese Colonies and to the Spanish Colonies.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the first day of April then instant (hereinafter referred to as “the said Order”), the Copyright Act, 1913, was extended to the foreign countries therein mentioned, subject to the provisions set out in the said Order:

And whereas it is desired to extend the said Order to the Portuguese Colonies and to the Spanish Colonies:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Copyright Act, 1913, doth hereby extend the said Order to the Portuguese Colonies and to the Spanish Colonies as if they were amongst the foreign countries of the Copyright Union named in paragraph one of the said Order, subject to the following modifications:—

(1) The provisions of paragraph (2), proviso (iii) (a), of the said Order shall apply as if the said colonies were included amongst the foreign countries named in those provisions.

(2) In the application of the provisions of paragraph (3) of the said Order to works of which the country of origin is any of the said colonies the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act and for the commencement of the said Order.

(3) In the application to such works of section 3, subsection (2), paragraph (d), and section 25 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act in section 25, subsections (7) and (8), wherever that expression occurs.

(4) In the application to such works of section 32 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act wherever that expression occurs in subsection (1), paragraph (a), and for the 1st July, 1913, in subsection (1), paragraph (b).

This order shall come into operation on the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, which date is in this Order referred to as the commencement of this Order.
