Wellington, 9th January, 1930.
THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Howick Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

The results of poll on loan proposals held on 18th December, 1929, are as follows:
Proposal Number 1—Water-supply scheme, £9,340: For the proposal, 214; against the proposal, 52; informal, 6.
Proposal Number 2—Detour roads and Howick-Panmure Highway scheme, £4,271: For the proposal, 255; against the proposal, 13; informal, 4.
Proposal Number 3—Picton Street Improvements Loan, £1,625: For the proposal, 201; against the proposal, 64; informal, 7.
And I hereby declare all proposals to be carried.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VIII, Tangihua Survey District, for the Purposes of a Quarry.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a quarry. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tauraroa, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 4 acres 1 rood 4·7 perches.
Being portion of Allotment 11, Maungakaramea Parish.
Situated in Block VIII, Tangihua Survey District.
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 77416, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a Native school: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ruatoki North, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for Mrs. Reynolds, Heemstede, or P. H. Reynolds, Haarlem, Holland.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in receiving money under pretence of foretelling future events, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or addressed to any of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Disallowance of Portion of Helensville Town District By-laws.
IN terms of section 25 of the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, and every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby disallow No. 56 (a) of Part III of the Helensville Town Board's By-laws, purporting to fix a local speed limit of twenty miles per hour on the main highway in the Helensville Town District between a point 13 chains from the Kaipara concrete bridge and a point 45 ft. on the north side of the intersection with Stewart Street.

Confirmation of Portion of Kaipara Consolidation Scheme.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation in part dated the 2nd day of November, 1929, dealing with Waihaua A 1 and other blocks, being the first instalment of the Kaipara Consolidation Scheme, as set out in the said scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act, and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I, Apirana Turupa Ngata, as such Native Minister, being satisfied that the portion of the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the portion of the said scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the 2nd day of November, 1929.
