Education Board of the District of Hawke's Bay, Election of Members.
I N accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, I hereby declare that Claud Russell Sainsbury and Walter Henry Smith, being the only persons nominated, have been duly elected as members of the Board representing the North Ward of the Rural Area, to fill extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of James Robert Kirk and by the death of William Oates respectively.
For the election of a member to fill an extraordinary vacancy in the Middle Ward of the Rural Area caused by the resignation of Gilbert McKay, the voting was as follows:—

I, JOHN MORRISON, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Sumner Marine Band (Incorporated) Society is no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

CROWN LANDS NOTICE.
Education Reserve in the North Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 19th February, 1930.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 10.30 o'clock a.m. on Monday, the 24th March, 1930, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Waitemata County.—Makarau Parish.
Lot 2 of Section 73: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 20 perches. Upset annual rental, 12s.
Weighted with £153, value of improvements comprising three-roomed dwelling, three small sheds, fowl-house and cow-shed, grassing, and 30 chains of fencing. This amount is to be paid in cash.
The section, which is situated about three miles and a half from Makarau Railway-station, comprises undulating land all more or less ploughable and in grass. Soil is of clay resting on sandstone formation. Section is well watered by springs and stream. Elevation ranges from 450 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level.
Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.

Six months' rent at the rate offered, valuation for improvements, and £2 2s. (lease fee), and cost of registration must be deposited on acceptance of bid.

Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal for further similar terms at rentals based on fresh valuations under the provisions of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

Rent payable half-yearly in advance.

Lessee to maintain in good substantial repair all buildings, drains, and fences; to keep clear all creeks, drains, ditches, and watercourses; to trim all live hedges; and yield up all improvements in good order and condition at the expiration of his lease.

Lessee not to transfer, sublet, or subdivide without the consent of the Land Board.

Lessee not to use or remove any gravel without the consent of the Land Board.

Lessee not to carry on any noxious, noisome, or offensive trade upon the land.

Lessee not to make improvements without the consent of the Land Board.

Lessee not entitled to any compensation for improvements; but if the lease is not renewed upon expiration, the new lease offered for disposal by public competition will be subject to payment by the incoming tenant of valuation for buildings and improvements effected by the original lessee with the consent of the Board; failing disposal, the land and buildings revert to the Crown without compensation.

Lease liable to forfeiture if conditions are violated.

Lessee to keep buildings insured.

Interest at the rate of 10 per cent. per annum to be paid on rent in arrear.
