Surveyors Registration.—Seventh Supplementary List.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 18 of the Surveyors Registration Act, 1928, that the following persons have been registered as surveyors under the said Act.

All surveyors who are registered as licensed surveyors by the Surveyors’ Board as at 31st December, 1928, are entitled to registration under section 7 of the Surveyors Registration Act, 1928, upon application to the Secretary of the Survey Board.
It is particularly requested that any change of residence, or any inaccuracy in the list, whether by omission or otherwise, be communicated without delay to the Secretary, Survey Board, Government Buildings, Wellington.
An asterick (*) signifies that the surveyor is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors; a dagger (†) that he holds a land transfer license from the Surveyor-General.

THE following special order, made by the Heathcote County Council on the 10th day of January, 1930, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule thereto (being plants mentioned in the First and Second Schedules of the said Act) are noxious weeds within the Heathcote County, and that all previous orders in reference to noxious weeds are hereby revoked.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and its Amendment, fixing the Closing-hours of Tailors’ Shops within the Borough of Feilding.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to me from the occupiers of tailors’ shops within the Borough of Feilding, pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22 :
And whereas I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, I do hereby direct that on and after the 10th day of March, 1930, all the said shops within the said borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 5.30 p.m., and on Saturdays at 9 p.m. with the following exception—Should the occupier of any shop affected by this notice observe, pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, Saturday as the statutory closing-day, then and in such case the closing-hour on Wednesday shall be 5.30 p.m. and the closing-hour on Friday shall be 9 p.m.
The notice dated the 8th May, 1905, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th May, 1905, fixing closing-hours of shops within the Borough of Feilding shall be and is hereby cancelled in so far as it relates to the shops affected by this notice, as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, as to the Statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Otahuhu and Papatoetoe.
WHEREAS the local authorities of the Borough of Otahuhu and the Town District of Papatoetoe, comprising the Combined District of Otahuhu and Papatoetoe, have failed to decide what working-day in the week shall be the statutory closing-day for shops in their district :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 18 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Saturday to be the statutory closing-day for shops in the said Combined District of Otahuhu and Papatoetoe.
Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, as to the statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Taumarunui and Manunui.
NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and in terms of notice in writing duly received by me from the chairman of the conference of delegates of all the local authorities of the Combined District of Taumarunui and Manunui, as constituted for the purpose of that Act, and comprising the Borough of Taumarunui and the Town District of Manunui, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the statutory closing-day for shops in the said Combined District of Taumarunui and Manunui.
Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

WHEREAS the local authorities of the respective separate districts mentioned in the First Column of the Schedule hereto have failed to decide what working-day in the week shall be the statutory closing-day for shops in their respective districts :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 18 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint as the statutory closing-day for shops in each such district on and from the 10th day of March, 1930, the respective working-days set opposite their respective names in the Second Column of the Schedule hereto.
