Exempting certain Native Land from Rates.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS under the provisions of section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, and as therein mentioned, the Governor-General may from time to time, for the reasons therein specified, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any part of such rates:

And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land named in the Schedule hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and gazetted the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, but only in so far as it affects the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto prohibiting all alienation of the land other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Regulations under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations made under the said Act on the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the Gazette of the seventh day of the same month at page 437, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto.

THE said regulations are hereby amended by revoking Regulation 6 thereof.

Authorizing the Provision and Dedication of Roads in the County of Hutt of Widths of less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft., subject to Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Hutt County Council on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, in so far as it refers to the proposed roads described in the Schedule hereto, viz.:—

“That the Hutt County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the Hutt County, hereby by resolution authorizes the provision and dedication of a proposed road, being portion of part Section 34, Hutt Registration District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, within the said district at a width of not less than forty feet”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the proposed roads (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said roads, with the exception that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lot 13 (edged blue on the plan referred to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirteen feet from the road-boundary.

SCHEDULE.

THOSE proposed roads in the Wellington Land District, County of Hutt, being portion of part Section 34, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 77550, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
