CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Acts amending the same.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Act and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain work—namely, the erection of an electricity substation—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Lands and Survey Department, Government Buildings, Durham Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of such public work and the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Christchurch City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his office, Manchester Street, Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, containing two and four-tenths perches, situated in the City of Christchurch, being Lot 1: As the same is shown on the plan above referred to, and therein coloured pink, being part of Rural Section 6, and being part of certificate of title, Vol. 23, folio 44.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan on one thousand six hundred pounds (£1,600), authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account amounts paid therefrom in connection with the redemption of Victoria Park Additional Loan, which matured on the 2nd day of July, 1928, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-eightieth (1/80) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-one thousand pounds (£21,000), authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account amounts paid therefrom in connection with the redemption of the Municipal Abattoir Loan, which matured on the 31st day of March, 1929, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-sixth (1/6) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand two hundred pounds (£5,200), authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account amounts paid therefrom in connection with the redemption of the Grafton Bridge Loan, which matured on the 27th day of January, 1929, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one twenty-fifth (1/25) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of seven thousand four hundred pounds (£7,400), authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account amounts paid therefrom in connection with the redemption of the Municipal Abattoir Additional Loan, which matured on the 23rd day of July, 1929, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-seventeenth (1/17) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
