Lands in the Auckland Land District forfeited.
NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Land in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and application will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 12 o'clock noon on Monday, 27th January, 1930.
The land may, at the option of the applicant be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 10.30 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, 29th January, 1930, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board or any other district.
The ballot will be held immediately after the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Kaitieke County.--Kaitieke Survey District.
(Exempt from rates, and rent (or interest) for a period of three years.)
SECTION 5, Block XV: Area, 963 acres. Capital value, £360. Deposit on deferred payments, £20; half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, £11 1s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £7 4s.
Weighted with £300, value of improvements consisting of felling, grassing, fencing, whare, and concrete dip. This amount may either be paid in cash or secured to the State Advances Superintendent on first mortgage; term, twenty years; interest at 6 per cent. per annum.
Access is from National Park Railway-station, which is about eight miles distant by formed clay road. Approximately 70 acres easy undulating land; balance steep and broken. Four hundred acres have been felled, of which 300 acres have reverted, and 100 acres are in grass; 563 acres are in standing bush. The soil is of light quality loam resting on papa and sandstone formation. Altitude, 1,600 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 14th January, 1930.
The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.--SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Wallace County.--Jacobs River Hundred.
SECTION 9, Block XXII: Area, 293 acres 1 rood 27 perches. Capital value, £440. Deposit on deferred payments, £40; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, including principal and interest, £13. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £8 16s.
Weighted with improvements valued at £70, which sum must be paid in cash. Situated two miles and a half from Fairfax Railway-station, dairy factory, and school, the road being metalled to within one mile and a half of section; balance formed. Good quality soil on free clay subsoil. Worked-out bush area. About 100 acres flat to undulating, and will eventually be capable of cultivation. A bush fire recently ran through part of the former clearing, and this area has now been resown in grass. Suitable for dairying and grazing.
The successful applicant will be required to arrange with the lessee of Section 47, Block VIII, Jacobs River Hundred, for payment of half cost of fencing erected on eastern boundary of Section 9.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

Timber in the Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 10th December, 1929.
NOTICE is hereby given that the right to cut and remove the sawmilling-timber on the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at 11 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, the 14th of January, 1930, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the timber regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 348, Block XV, Forest Hill Hundred: Total area, 158 acres 2 roods 22 perches.
Estimated quantity of timber:--
Kahikatea, 455,000 ft., board measurement.
Rimu, 28,900 ft., board measurement.
Matai, 102,900 ft., board measurement.
Upset price, £635. Time for removal, 1 year 6 months.
Terms of payment.--One-fourth of the purchase-money and £11s. (license fee) to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance by approved promissory notes in three equal instalments due in four, eight, and twelve months respectively.
Situated about ten miles from Centre Bush Railway-station. The land is fairly steep throughout, but not excessively broken so as to present any difficulties in milling. The milling-timber is confined to the western portion.
