PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of five thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£5,550), authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of three loans of one thousand pounds (£1,000), two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), and four thousand one hundred pounds (£4,100), which matured on the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, known respectively as the Petone Borough Council Wharf Loan (No. 2), 1908, the Petone Borough Council Recreation-ground Improvement Loan, 1908, and the Petone Borough Council Recreation-ground Purchase Loan, 1908, the said the Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-three three-hundred-and-eighty-fourths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Petone, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-four (24) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted special meeting of the Petone Borough Council held on the 26th day of November, 1929.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of MANCHESTER BROTHERS, LTD. (in voluntary liquidation).
PURSUANT to section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908, notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 25th day of November, 1929, the following special resolution was passed under the provisions of Part V of the Act:—
“It is hereby resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that FREDERICK ALBERT HICKMAN, of Ashburton, Public Accountant, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Relief of Unemployment Loan (1929) of £400.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of relieving unemployment by undertaking work on St. Ronan’s Estate Road, within the Borough of Lower Hutt, the said Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4/675ths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Lower Hutt, comprising the whole of the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Lower Hutt Borough Council at the meeting held on the 25th day of November, 1929.

OTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned special resolution was passed by the above company on the 25th day of November, 1929:—
“That the company (HOME FINANCE, LIMITED) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and that Mr. HARRY NORMAN STAFFORD, of Auckland, Company Director, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
