  • Cancelling the Reservation over Portion of a Reserve in Block IX, Town of Pembroke, Otago Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of November, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for the use of the Stock Department over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 79, Block IX, Town of Pembroke: Area, 1 rood, more or less.

  • Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Village of Thorpe, Nelson Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of November, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are reserves duly set apart for public utility:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such lands shall be changed to reserves for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from reserves for public utility to reserves for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 28, Village of Thorpe: Area, 1 acre 3 roods.

Also Section 29, Village of Thorpe: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 20 perches.

  • Consenting to stopping Road in Blocks XVI, Shepherd’s Bush, and III, Rangitata Survey Districts, Ashburton County.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Ashburton County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 5 acres 3 roods 33·7 perches.


  • Adjoining or passing through Rural Sections 35880, 28635, 35879, 27929.

Situated in Block XVI, Shepherd’s Bush, and Block III, Rangitata Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 2114.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76419, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of November, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Thames County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 2 acres 2 roods 7 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Sections 8, 9, 10, 17, 18, and 19 of part McCaskill’s Grant.

Situated in Block VIII, Waihou Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25048.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76417, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

  • Declaring an Additional Disease under the Orchard and Garden Diseases Act, 1928, and extending the First Schedule of that Act to include the said Disease.—(Notice No. Ag. 2867.)

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of November, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Orchard and Garden Diseases Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that on and after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette, downy mildew of hop (Pseudoperonospora Humuli) shall be a disease within the meaning of the said Act; and with the like advice and consent doth hereby extend the First Schedule to the said Act by including the aforesaid disease therein.
