Order in Council prescribing the Rates of Interest that may be paid by the Stratford County Council in respect of a Loan of £2,700.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Stratford County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) has been authorized to borrow in respect of a loan known as “South Riding Loan, 1919,” the sum of twenty-one thousand pounds, and the sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds has not yet been borrowed:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent, as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said section”), to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby prescribe that the said sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds may be raised in respect of the said loan by the said local authority at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, and the said local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum accordingly.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £400 by the Clifton County Council, and prescribing Rate of Interest.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Clifton County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising the sum of four hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Onaero-Mataro Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of reforming and metalling portions of the Mataro Road:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said loan for the term hereinafter mentioned, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and by sections thirty-two and one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of four hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of six pounds per centum per annum, upon terms of making the said loan, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of twenty-five years, and subject to the further condition that no such instalment shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £18,900 by the Southland Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Southland Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising the sum of eighteen thousand nine hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Renewal Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of renewing the balance of the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of twenty thousand pounds which matured on the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent, as required by section twenty of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of eighteen thousand nine hundred pounds at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum subject to the condition that the said loan shall be repaid by instalments of not less than one hundred pounds per annum in each of the first five years of the currency of the loan, and not less than four hundred and fifty pounds in the sixth year, and in the seventh and every succeeding year not less than four hundred and fifty pounds, together with a further sum being five and a half per centum of the total principal theretofore respectively paid off.

WHEREAS the Lower Hutt Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising the sum of four hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of relieving unemployment by undertaking work on St. Ronan’s Estate Road:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said sum on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said sum of four hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, upon terms of making the said sum, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of twenty years.
