Summer Time.

Prime Minister's Office,
Wellington, 10th October, 1929.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, under the Summer Time Act, 1929, summer time commences at 2 o'clock New Zealand standard time in the morning of Sunday, the 13th instant, and ends at 2 o'clock, New Zealand standard time, in the morning of Sunday, the 16th March, 1930.

For the purpose of giving effect to the Act the time will therefore be advanced thirty minutes as from 2 a.m., New Zealand standard time, on Sunday next, and be put back thirty minutes as from 2 a.m., New Zealand standard time, on Sunday, 16th March, 1930.

AT the examination of candidates for registration as a surveyor held in September, 1929, under the Surveyors' Registration Act, 1928, and conducted by the Federated

Surveyors' Boards of Australia and New Zealand, thirty-eight candidates presented themselves in New Zealand. Fifteen of these candidates succeeded in obtaining passes, as under:-
