Order in Council consenting to the Marlborough Electric-power Board borrowing Moneys by way of Bank Overdraft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Marlborough Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of borrowing moneys by way of bank overdraft for the purpose of meeting initial losses:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the borrowing as aforesaid on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of moneys by the said local authority by way of bank overdraft for the purpose of meeting initial losses, at a rate of interest not exceeding current bank overdraft rates, but so that the total amount owing as at the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, shall not exceed six thousand pounds.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the New Lynn Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the New Lynn Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising the sum of seven thousand three hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Sewer Drainage Supplementary Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of completing the works authorized on fourteenth March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, under a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds, which has been found insufficient for the purpose:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by this said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan to the amount of seven thousand three hundred pounds for a term of thirty-six and a half years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, subject to the condition that the said local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and shall thereafter make to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year at a rate or rates which shall be not less than the rate of one pound per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed, and subject to the further condition that no portion of interest or sinking fund on the said loan and no portion of sinking fund on the original loan of seventy-five thousand pounds shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Timaru Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Isaac James Bradley,
Peter Campbell,
Robert Hamilton Fergusson,
Charles Edward Timothy Hall,
William Henry Hall,
James Archibald Hay,
John O’Leary, and
Ralph Alexander Rodgers
to be the Timaru Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at ten o’clock a.m., as the time when, and Mr. H. H. Fraser’s office, 2 Oxford Buildings, Timaru, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
TIMARU DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 102 (in red), situate in the Borough of Timaru. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 1012·8 links; towards the east by the public road facing the beach, by lines aggregating 1005·7 links; towards the south by other part of Reserve 102, 726·7 links; and towards the west by part of Rural Section 1702, 949·5 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1084/10A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
