Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for Miss L. King, Hobart.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by her own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to either of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Intended Alteration in Period.

Position: On the summit of the small peaked islet (Murimotu) lying close eastward of North Cape (Otau). Lat. 34° 25′ S., long. 173° 05′ E. (approx.).

Date of Alteration: During September, 1929.

Alteration: The period is to be altered to group-flashing showing two flashes every forty seconds, thus: Two seconds flash; fourteen seconds eclipse; two seconds flash; twenty-two seconds eclipse.

NOTE.—Further information will be issued when the alteration has taken place.

SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN.—TONGA ISLANDS.

Lifuka Island: Amended Depths on Shoals, Names to be expunged from Charts.

(a) Cunningham Patch—

Position: About 8 cables north-westward of Pangai observation spot. Lat. 19° 48′ S., long. 174° 22′ W. (approx.).

Details: The depth, 5 fathoms (9m1), broken coral, is to be substituted for the 2½-fathom (4m1) depth, formerly shown on the charts. The name “Cunningham Patch” is to be expunged from charts.

(b) Salok Patch—

Position: About 3 cables north-eastward of (a).

Details: The depth, 4½ fathoms (8m2), broken coral, is to be substituted for the 3-fathom (5m5) depth, formerly shown on charts. The name “Salok Patch” is to be expunged from the charts.
