A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the pieces of land which are described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, and which were taken for further portions of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, and which are no longer required for such purposes, shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the portions of such road described in the First Schedule hereto shall be maintained by the Wairoa County Council, and that the portions of such road described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be maintained by the Hawke’s Bay County Council, in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Councils.
