IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and fifty-nine of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified in the said Schedule.

Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction, for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Town Land.—Town of Mataura Bridge.
SECTION 2, Block I: Area, 38·5 perches. Upset price, £150. Weighted with £100, value of improvements, comprising buildings and fencing; payable in cash.
Situated about three-quarters of a mile from Mataura Railway-station, and is in the centre of the business portion of the town. The land is level.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 30th day of July, 1929.

Primary-education Endowment in Block V, Otepopo Survey District, Otago Land District, set apart as a Site for a Public School.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Otago Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.
