Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Hauraki
Plains County Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Waitakaruru Water-supply District Special-rating Area taken
on the 5th day of June, 1929, on the proposal of the Hauraki
Plains County Council to borrow the sum of £2,400 for the
purpose of installing a water supply under the Water-supply
Act, 1908, and amendments, in Waitakaruru Riding of the
County of Hauraki Plains, the number of votes recorded for
the proposal was 21; the number of votes recorded against the
proposal was 2.

I therefore declare the proposal to have been carried.
Dated at Ngatea, this 11th day of July, 1929.

River Board, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

WAIRAU RIVER BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £14,500.
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of
the Wairau River District taken on the 10th day of July,
1929, on the proposal of the Wairau River Board to borrow
the sum of £14,500—

(a) For the purchase of land at Lower Wairau required
for straightening the lower reaches of the Wairau
River, £9,500; and
(b) For the purchase of land required for the Fairhall
diversion scheme, £5,000;

the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,411;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 481.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 12th day of July, 1929.
