Consenting to stopping Portions of Roads in Block V,
Komakorau Survey District, Waikato County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of July, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waikato County Council stopping the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of roads permitted to be stopped: 2 acres 1 rood 5 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotment 245, Komakorau Parish, and Lots 1, D.P. 20506, 2, D.P. 15485, 7 and 8, D.P. 13636.

Situated in Block V, Komakorau Survey District. (S.O. 24606.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75557, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Increasing Borrowing Powers of Dunedin Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of July, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the said Act, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:

And whereas by Order in Council dated the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the Gazette on the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at page 1406, the powers of the Dunedin Fire Board to borrow moneys were extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of thirty thousand pounds:

And whereas application has been made by the said Dunedin Fire Board for further extension of borrowing powers, and it is desirable to grant such application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Dunedin Fire Board to borrow moneys under the said section thirty-one are hereby extended so that as regards the said Board in lieu of the sum of twenty thousand pounds mentioned in the said section thirty-one shall be substituted the sum of fifty-seven thousand pounds: Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Vesting a Reserve in the Takaka Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of July, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for municipal purposes: And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Takaka Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the ninth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Takaka Town Board, in trust, for municipal purposes.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 13, Block X, Waitapu Survey District: Area, 4·7 perches.
